### 1/5 — I don’t think it works

*2023-03-19*

I adjusted the screen to max brightness, then I launch this app and I didn’t see the screen become brighter. Maybe there’s something I missing but yeah I don’t get it. I bought the macOS apps this company sells and this supposedly came free. I don’t really know what I got for free.

### 1/5 — How does one use this on an iPad or iPhone?

*2022-11-05*

The app (and getvivid.app) says that it “Requires MacBook Pro 14 or 16 inch with M1 Pro/Max or Pro Display XDR”, but the App Store preview shows images of it running on an iPhone. I have an iPhone XS Max and a 2021 M1 iPad Pro 12.9”, and will soon have a 2022 M2 iPad Pro 11” (but no Macs — my computers are all windows 10 or 11), and might like to use this app. But I can’t figure out how.

Some instructions would be very helpful!!!

**Developer response:** Hello, the iPhone and Mac apps are different things. This iPhone App is just a web browser with vivid brightness because we can’t make your whole phone brighter. But the Mac app does make your whole Mac brighter and there is a free trial download on our website. Thanks

### 1/5 — It’s just the desktop app ad

*2022-10-20*

Don’t waste your time

**Developer response:** Thanks for reaching out. It's not actually, since it's a full web browser that you can use to browse the web at high brightness. It's meant to be used by opening the app up from other apps when you want to watch it in higher brightness.

### 3/5 — it does brighten webpages,but…

*2024-02-04*

it technically does its job in that it brightens the websites but is doesn’t actually make the website display at max brightness which can be seen when the phone is overheating which causing the display to dim by a lot

### 3/5 — Not sure how this works on iPhone 14 Pro Max

*2022-12-07*

The app instantly brightened my screen to max brightness on launch. However i don't know if this is actually brightening my screen beyond what Apple limits the screen to.

Is there some way to confirm i'm getting additional brightness than just manually moving the brightness bar?

Thanks! I'm a huge fan of the desktop app btw so i wanted to give the iPhone version a try.

**Developer response:** Hi, yes you can test it’s working with the little Vivid sunshine icon on the bottom right. This toggles betweeen on, off and splitscreen. In splitscreen the left will be Vivid bright and the right is normal brightness 🔆

### 4/5 — Make it for IpadOS

*2025-03-13*

Please make for iPad. It is only working as an iPhone app

### 4/5 — Need iPad version

*2023-04-29*

It would be nice to have.

### 5/5 — Make one for the entire ipad

*2025-01-03*

Is this possible

### 5/5 — Works well

*2024-03-13*

Super bright on my iphone 13 pro.

If there could be system wide brightness, that would be epic and worth paying for.

### 5/5 — Amazing way to use full HDR Brightness on iOS

*2023-12-29*

Edit: appears broken on iOS 17.2.1

I think many people misunderstand the purpose of this app. It is a web browser that puts the iPhone into maximum brightness. It’s not an advertisement for their desktop app. Overall I enjoy having this option to browse in this app when brightness is crucial. Thanks for making it free and not full of ads!

### 5/5 — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Works as advertised

### 5/5 — Please add eclipse mode

*2023-09-18*

Sometimes the dimmest setting on iPhone is too bright. Eclipse mode on the Mac fixes that , but I just blinded myself opening vivid.

If it just respected dark mode and opened to a dark page with a note showing how to turn it on, that would help, but adding the extra layers of dimming eclipse mode provides would be very helpful.

### 5/5 — Amazing way to use full HDR Brightness on iOS
