The support for the camera is awful. It won't reconnect with the camera most of the time, and when it does connect it is very glitchy. I bought this camera to put in the nursery with my newborn, but I should have just saved my money and bought a better camera. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Better support that can keep up with phone operating system changes seems to only be consistently achieved by large companies with the right infrastructure. Extremely disappointed. I don't recommend this company to anyone, especially if you're using camera to keep an eye on children. Jan 24 (update) still no software to make this camera work. Wouldn’t switch to new internet, have called support and still not able to resolve the problem. Camera has been reset and restarted numerous times, still not working. Waste of time and money DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. Won’t connect to IPhone or IPad had to buy another brand which works perfectly. I’ve even reset my new brand to see if I would have same experience. The new brand worked every time. Never again Vivitar. ### 1/5 — Terrible Connection and Sound *2018-04-21, version 1.0.339* Unfortunately, this camera loses connection constantly and doesn’t adapt to night vision and regular vision very well. I can have the nursery in the darkest of darks, but it still won’t go into night vision, which makes it super annoying and useless when you want to peek baby activity at night. Mind you, the camera is clear of reflections, etc...no infrared interference...just doesn’t work well. The sound is also terrible...there is a constant scratchy noise that plays. I had to get a baby monitor for sound and have just resorted to turning off the sound when the app is open. Super frustrating. Get a different camera. It was fairly inexpensive especially for a few years ago. It is a pain at times to get it working again if it’s been awhile and unplugged. It can be frustrating to figure out. Sometimes it takes a few times to connect but the quality isn’t horrible. The night vision isn’t awful especially if there’s a little night light or something. It’s better Than nothing. I have been able to check my house from hundreds of miles away on the app. ### 3/5 — Could be great *2016-09-22, version 1.0.339* Am I the only one in the world trying to use this app?
