The app has never worked right. The first time I loaded this app and tried to use it, nothing worked. I kept getting an “incorrect wifi password” message. iOS updated so I decided to try again. It connected to the camera and all was well...until I tried to watch a video. It would play for about 5 seconds the stop. Grrrr... Also, my phone didn’t show a wifi connection but LTE instead. Checked wifi, all good. Relaunch app, connect to camera and...phone freezes. I couldn’t do ANYTHING. It eventually went to lock screen and I was able to get back onto the phone. Maybe. Update your iPhone to the latest iOS. Turn on the vivitar 4K 922 cam. Press the power WiFi button 4 times and the options menu will open. Press the camera button to Scroll through the options. Go to the third option and press the side button until the highLighted bar is on the WiFi option. Press the camera button to check the WiFi box. The back screen on the cam should display the WiFi bars and then change to WiFi ssid aalong with the password. Set your iPhone WiFi to the WiFi ssid that is on the back of the cam and pare the devices. Once paired your phone screen will have various options of starting and stopping recording, video and picture resolution etc. That is what worked for me and hopefully it will work for you. Three stars because I had to search the ‘net for the answer. It turns out if you use any apple device, you are unable to view and save the videos. I called Vivitar customer support and was informed that they did not support apple and that I would need to use an android device or a computer to view and save the videos.
