The majority of retailers and sellers uses VietQR. This app cannot pay someone who uses VietQR so this app is useless. Since VNPAY owns VNSKY, why can’t I reload my VNSKY account with this app? Linking and authenticating my foreign debit card was successful, but using the app to pay for anything? Failure. First attempts were with non-VNPay QR codes. This is understandable - I guess the plethora of QR payment networks are not interconnected in Vietnam. But then I found a chain store (not a small vendor) sporting a VNPay-branded QR code and all the app would say was “This merchant is not supported”. Why does VNPay not support their own QR codes? Attempts to contact support via the app also failed. Just got a canned response implying it *should* work but not addressing the question or explaining why it doesn’t work. You can’t follow-up with additional questions via the in-app support, so I reworded the question in a new support ticket and got the exact same canned response. This was all in English….
