Hoping for a response here. I really like the app, but after a while I just get locked out whenever I try to open it, and it shows me options to buy pro, with no option for a free plan. I wish there was a free plan. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your kind words about the app and its design. You’re right: VO2 Max currently includes a two-day free trial, but does not offer a permanent free plan. After the trial, continued access requires a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. I’m sorry this wasn’t clear enough before downloading. I’ve also recently fixed issues that could incorrectly show the paywall to existing subscribers or lifetime customers. If you have already purchased the app, please update to the latest version and tap “Restore Purchases.” If that doesn’t help, please contact me at mail@bernhardhering.de so I can investigate. ### 4/5 — Getting better *2026-02-20* Love the new update with the Cooper test, but for the developer: the moment one enters a number into the Cooper test field, the app becomes unusable because you can’t leave the page anymore. Whoops. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, you’re absolutely right. We fixed the issue where the keyboard could trap you on the Cooper test screen, and the fix will be in the next update. ### 3/5 — New Version, you now buy it AGAIN. *2025-11-16* Hello: I purchased this app and all other apps from this developer for the purpose of using them on my  watch. Back then they all had a one time price. Now this app just got updated and guess what it became a subscription based app. Or you could “buy” it AGAIN. The app will say that a previous purchase from the old system will be honored, but nope. It doesn’t do anything when you authenticate to restore your previous purchased version. If you are a new user to this app, be ready to pay a subscription or a $7 fee for a “lifetime” membership. If you are an existing customer, thennnnnn be ready to do the same. Until the developer updates the app in the future and erases your past purchase and you have to buy it AGAIN. Don’t get me wrong. Is a good app and does what is supposed to do on your  watch. The price is not too bad either, but is just the principle of being made to pay again even though you already did in the past, regardless of the price. ### 1/5 — Enttäuschend *2025-09-03* Diese Werte habe ich auch in der Health App, aber leider nur sporadisch. This does just that! Now I tried a restore purchase and it asks for my apple password. Who in their right mind gives that data? ### 1/5 — Stopped working. *2025-11-20* I purchased this app and it worked fine for a while. I even gave it a positive review. But today it stopped working and asked me to subscribe. While there is an option to restore, it doesn’t work and in stuck either subscribing or deleting g the app. While I think it’s fine to offer subscription based apps, I don’t think it’s fine to make an app useless for paying users unless they subscribe if they purchased back when it was free. Now that they've given the app a facelift, it's asking me to purchase it all over again. Though the “Restore Purchase” option is there, it doesn't work. You enter your details, and it doesn't even respond. It makes it that much closer to a Garmin.
