## What is VocabSpark?

Vocabulary learning that's actually fun — and actually works.

VocabSpark uses a proven flashcard method (spaced repetition) so words stick for the long run. Cards you haven't nailed yet come back more often. Cards you know cold come back less.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Pick a language and add your words
2. Start a session — the app shows you a word
3. Reveal the answer and rate yourself: Again, Close, or Got it!
4. "Again" comes right back, "Close" comes sooner than "Got it!", which is done for now

NOTE

Pronunciation and example sentences require an OpenAI API key (enter it in Settings). All your data stays on your device — no accounts, no tracking, no ads.

• New: Your words and learning progress are now backed up to iCloud automatically and survive reinstalls and switching devices
• New: Swipe cards! Right = "Got it!", left = "Again" (while learning and in the vocab test)

• Right-to-left layout for Arabic
• Language decks are now paired — pick your target language and your native language when you create a deck, and translations plus pronunciation follow automatically
• On first launch, the interface matches your device's system language
• Every piece of interface text has been proofread in all 16 languages
• After 5+ successful sessions (and at most once every 120 days), the app asks once for an App Store rating — skipped if the session went poorly
• Fix: arrow emojis in the direction picker are no longer mirrored in Arabic
• Fix: long language names (e.g. "Portuguese", "Dutch") now fit cleanly in the grid tiles
