Play actual games with your family and friends to learn your target language! Vocabsters makes learning English, Finnish, German and Swedish feel like a game, perfect if you need something more than just a boring basic learning app. Game Features: Story Mode Play through your selected curriculum to build your knowlege! Unlock ways to customize your experience while playing this mode. Arcade Mode Want to focus on a specific set of words? Jump into Arcade Mode and practice at your own pace. New Multiplayer Games: - Speed Race: Answer questions as fast as possible to win! - Battle Race: Answer faster than your friends to win! - Tower Climber: Climb the tower as fast as possible to win! Other new additions: - Game over screens reworked from scratch, now showing XP gained clearly - Game over screen in singleplayer also allows the player to change game difficulty before playing again - Arcade mode UI/UX greatly improved. - Account security improved, logging in again is required. - Many bug fixes, visual improvements and performance improvements. ### 1.13 — 2026-03-09 New Singleplayer games! - Added Easy Runner and Speed Runner, the first iteration of platformers to Vocabsters. (They are very much in a testing phase) - You can now select what game type you want to play for each story mode level. - Moved everything related to languages onto the cloud, meaning they can be added and changed much easier without requiring an update. - Visuals updated for all games, specifically focusing on positive feedback. - Real voice pronounciation feature updated, now allowing the app to randomly choose any possible voice. - Experimental features toggle added to settings. - Bug fixes. ### 1.12 — 2026-02-11 Big update! - Curriculums introduced, a way to specify what you want to learn, each curriculum can be catered for specific languages and can be adapted to teach in different ways. - Curriculums also allow you to jump into a specific section or set of words, this means you can skip sections you already know! - Story mode now follows through your active curriculum, unlocks are rewarded for every level completed. - All games now support different teaching methods, for example, all base games now support Spelling mode. - Arcade mode game selector revamped to allow for selection of a specific game mode. Word sets are now displayed based on the curriculum you have active. - All game difficulties rebalanced. - Backend completely redone for new curriculum system, this includes the save data system. - Super readable mode added, this can be set active from game settings, it makes the text in all games easier to read and remember. - Real voice support added, this means that as time goes on, all words will have a real person saying them, improving learning more. - Quality of life improvements, visual improvements and bug fixes. Future updates will focus on revamping multiplayer and adding more singleplayer games.
