It has great content and different vocab levels even for high schoolers. Perfect way of helping you revise your vocabulary every day and then learning more new ones. It really helped my overall studying and I would certainly recommend. However, only one small problem, for the placement test, I can’t really access because it only lets me see the options but I can’t see the question it’s asking. It’s a great tool and useful but it’s obnoxious that right when you think you might like it it wants you to pay. It’s not enough for me to spend money on but it could be if I could see more or try it for a longer time with out having to pay. Other than that it’s brilliant. That’s the only thing holding me back from telling other people about it. The lesson it bite size with exercises to help me remember the words. I do feel like I’m learning something. ### 5/5 — The free version is actually pretty good *2026-07-13, version 7.13* I’m only subscribed to the free version of this app but it’s actually pretty decent considering it’s free. I like the fact that it provides at least 5 different vocabulary words, with descriptive definitions that are used in sentences and also provide an audio of how to pronounce the word correctly. After reading and learning about the definitions then you can take a quiz to test your knowledge. Once you successfully pass the quiz then you level up and start learning newer terms. It’s a good app with a really nice interface and design. It’s easy to use and I think the paid subscription is worth the money but I can’t afford to subscribe at this time. There is a free trial subscription but I’m not sure how many days it lasts. ### 5/5 — a small wish *2026-07-10, version 7.13* I really like this App and almost use it everyday. I really miss the feature from the old version that allowed me to edit the definition and example sentence before adding a word to my Journal list. This allowed me to input the exact sentence I encountered while reading, along with the Chinese translation. Reviewing words this way made it much easier to remember their actual usage. While I understand that quickly adding words meets the needs of some users, the old method provided a multi-layered approach that greatly helped with long-term memory. Would it be possible to add a toggle in the settings so users can choose between the "Quick Mode" and the "Classic Mode"? There are a few apps like this in the App Store, but this one is more affordable than the others and therefore I recommend it more.
