For how pricy the school
Is and how great the actual courses are you think the app would be great. Can't even get logged in correctly and they haven't even updated the app resolution for iPhone 5+ devices. Sad!

I am familiar with the Goethe Institut, and they are the very best when it comes to teaching German. Unfortunately, this app does not work. Even though I went online and gave them my email, made up a password, established an account ("successfully" according to the email I received from them), and logged in (again, "successfully"), the app keeps asking me to log in. Too bad, because if the app actually worked, it would probably be great, like most everything else that the G.I. does.

I have attempted to use this app several times. I've downloaded, installed, deleted and reinstalled it. I've done everything I can to get it to work. No matter what I do, I get error messages: "Fehler: The operation couldn't be completed. (Exception on didEndElement: *** setObjectForKey: key cannot be nil error 0.)" or "Fehler: 20 DB_ERROR" I am unable to add content. Please fix this. Fixed, it would be a fantastic app to have.

Leider gibt kein Deutsch/Portugiesisch/Brasilianisch - deshalb nur 2 Sterne - Portugiesisch ist neben Spanisch die 2. Latin-Sprache. Brasilien das größte Land in Südamerika und mit fast 10.000 Einwanderern aus Brasilien und XX aus Portugal nach Deutschland wohl recht bedeutend - sehr Schade!!!

Please fix this. It seemed to be a good and helpful app. But not for now I guess.

I live in the US, I am a native English speaker new to German.  I downloaded this to learn German vocabulary.  However, the entire app is in German unlike in the screen captures shown in the App Store.  There is clearly a glitch happening here.  It looks like it is probably good for German speakers to learn other languages which I gathered from aimlessly clicking and trying to find a way to change it to English for learning German.  I don't think there is a way since there don't seem to be any settings like that that were recognizable.

App tut nicht, was sie soll. Sehe keinerlei Inhalte. Schade um die Entwicklungsarbeit, wenn's am Ende keiner nutzen kann.

I think this app will be super helpful and save money and time making my own flash cards - unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. I was prompted to login and after doing that successfully, I still was not able to download any of the vocab sets and kept getting a message to login. Additionally, I couldn't find a way to selected the language for the app to set it for German-English.

i tried this App, thinking it'd be great for my vocabulary in German. but it always says that there's an error so I can't access the vocabulary. please update!

I just downloaded the app today, and every time I try to load content it says: "Your App is not the latest version. Please update your application." I am running the current version of iOS and the current version of the app. I suppose this app would be OK for someone who wants to enter their own vocabulary words by hand.

One way training, no syncing between two devices and you need to pay subscription for that. No way! GI did not know how to do SW. PS It is insane to add ruZZian language in 2026

Es sollte ein tolle Anwendung sein, aber leider funktioniert es kaum nicht. Man kann auch nicht die Sprache oder der Niveau auswählen. Ich brauche diese App. Können Sie es bitte ausbessern ?

Kann ich die App meinen afghanischen Deutsch-Schülern empfehlen? Leider nein. Die Anleitung ist komplett und ausschließlich auf Deutsch. Was soll das?? Es müsste doch als erstes die Sprache gewählt werden können!
Probelauf Deutsch/Englisch: fast keine Inhalte ladbar, nur für Niveaustufe A "Mein Weg nach Deutschland", sonst nichts. Gegenprobe Deutsch/Persisch: dasselbe. Niveau B: nichts. Niveau C: nichts. 
Meine Inhalte->irgendeine Option wählen: die App friert ein, nichts geht mehr. 
Schade. Das ist keine Werbung für Deutschland. 
(Check auf iPhone 5s, iOS 10).

Also wäre ich der deutschen Sprache nicht mächtig, wäre ich es spätestens dann, wenn ich mich durch das äußerst umständliche Menü (samt herunterladen von diesem und jenem Level) gearbeitet habe - auf Deutsch natürlich alles. Falls man die Sprache ändern kann - wo zum Henker?! Das auf Deutsch zu finden…
Mein erstes deutsches Wort, das ich erlernen sollte „ander“ (dieses Wort war mir noch nicht bekannt - in Satz hieß es dann „anders“ und „andere"). Dann soll ich ein Wort lernen, dass in einen nicht sonderlich leichten Satz jeweils integriert ist… Also damit möchte ich keine mir nicht bekannte Sprache lernen müssen.

I think this app is very very useful but it's very out of date
Please please please update this app for "ios" opration system and please add "A2" level for deutsch to persisch course

You can switch it to English by going into the app settings through your phone settings.  From the main menu I went through 'new content' to 'title search'.  Choose your language and then hit search from there - plenty of downloadable units without having to log in (my log in never worked).  Couldn't get the other search to work, but the units I found have plenty of vocab

This issue has been mentioned a couple times. I've never been able to use it, because it says I don't have the latest version directly after the initial download. Schade. Seemed like it would be a pretty good app.

I have used the first level functions successfully.  Nice basic app.  Vocabulary easy to pick up. Would be nice to have full audio for the examples - as it stands audio is supported for the single word.  I appreciate the ability to add your own vocabulary and examples.  Will continue to use and report on.  I selected the Deutsch - German option and have not tried other.

Found the settigs page has the option to changw the app to English menus. That is not the default language.

Unfortunately, this app does not work on my iphone even though it is supposed to be compatible. I tried changing the language from German to English, but it didn’t work any better.
