I’ve had concerning experiences with more than one of them. I had a frustrating experience with Vocal Image that I purchased a yearly plan in July, but only a month later, the renewal information disappeared and I was being asked to renew again. I also couldn’t find a straightforward way to contact customer support, and the app would not allow me to select the option to cancel my plan. I really want to enjoy the app, but this is very shady. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend taking screenshots of your purchase, subscription status, and cancellation confirmation whenever using apps like these. We're here to help! ### 3/5 — Useful content but roleplay exercises are culturally off *2026-08-05, version 8.54.0* ome of the exercises are genuinely useful, but a few of the roleplay ones are just goofy, they don’t really fit US culture, or a lot of Asian cultures either. Felt off enough that I started wondering if this company was even US-based. Turns out I was right! it’s actually based in Estonia. Which explains a lot. The roleplay stuff probably works fine in their own culture but if you actually follow that advice somewhere else, it could land you in a bad spot. ### 1/5 — Attention: it’s not possible to cancel subscription *2026-08-01, version 8.54.0* This is the worst experience ever. It is impossible to cancel your subscription after following all instructions to the letter. Keep getting messages “we’re unable to…” ### 3/5 — Ganz nett, aber viel KI *2026-08-01* Ich hab die App zwei Tage und fand die Stimmübungen schon ganz nützlich. Aber Videos mit KI erstellt, die mir etwas vom Führungsstil erzählen wollen oder ein Podcast mit total überdrehten KI Stimmen sind leider nicht effektiv für mich, ich versuche zwar, das Wissen herauszuhören, aber ob es hängen bleibt, ist fraglich. Apple should remove this app from the store. ### 1/5 — Be careful of fake charges *2026-07-27, version 8.54.0* The “cancel” option from within the app does not work and is rigged. I did cancel right after the trial and they charged me the premium version for $75. Actually I had 3 charges appear on my card and I am going to pursue this till I get my money back. Watch for all credit cars charges from this company. ### 1/5 — False Charge *2026-07-21, version 8.54.0* Application offered a 7 day free trial and immediately charged me $90 for a year subscription. ### 1/5 — I DEMAND A REFUND *2026-07-21* I installed this app 10 months ago and it has been sucking my hard earned money (£50) per month resulting to a £500 loss even after deleting it I tried logging back in some while ago and received a log In error and after that I forgot about this leech app just today I was about to end my subscription and it kept on giving me other subscriptions as I was about to click cancel subscription my app froze ( which is definitely a tactic used for a person to click purchase the other subscription) I clicked cancel a few times and accidentally clicked buy the £30 subscription only once and then after I clicked cancel I few times and then I see a pop up notification saying the subscription was purchased I only clicked it once and then after clicked cancel at the start and end showing how the cancel button is useless I cancelled the app because I had no development in my voice and it’s filled with Ai like geez if you get so much money per membership at least invest in some human life that’s the reason I cancelled the app 10 months ago I demand I receive £500 since i barly even used the app aswell as the 30 pounds you made me accidently buy this is not a way how to treat your customets atleast make it’s moneys worth 😤 **Developer response:** We are very sorry to hear about your experience. However I’m frustrated that I’m now being prompted to start a “7 Day Free Trial” for Premium with no apparent option to skip it. It feels like we’re being forced into a trial we may not want, with the hope that we will forget to cancel before being charged. Very questionable tactic and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I value transparency and user choice, and experiences like this make me reconsider renewing my subscription. Charged my acct without permission and my bank detect their fraud charge *2026-08-07, version 8.54.0* I purchase 4.99 for a week of trial and never subscribed. Today my bank messaged for fraud detection which shows vocal image tried to charge my acct for 24.99. I went to my app and my acct is logged out. I never granted permission for this charge and if not my bank how much do you want keep stealing. Their instagram ad is completely misleading. There’s no real AI tech in the app. Do Not Use It. ### 1/5 — A total scam! *2026-08-07* Stay away from this app! 1. Misleading Cancellation Flow: the app's cancellation process is maliciously designed. The "Cancel" button is unresponsive, leaving only a "Continue" button available. 2. Unauthorized Charge via Deceptive UI: Upon clicking "Continue" (expecting to proceed with the cancellation confirmation), the app automatically enrolled me in a new subscription plan and processed the payment immediately without presenting a clear confirmation prompt or secondary authorization screen. 3. This app used to be great. It focused on vocal mechanics exercises and explanations, and it did that better than any other app. Now, it's too busy trying to be your therapeutic social skills coach instead. None of the programming is influenced by the goal settings, so your lessons are full of irrelevant spam content. Don't have kids or work with them? Too bad. You still will get lessons about parenting. Don't want to sound more feminine? Too bad, you'll get feminization lessons (vice versa as well). Want to focus on one goal over the others? Too bad. The majority of the content you get will be irrelevant. They said they'd fix it months ago when I left a 4 star rating with critical feedback, and nothing has improved. It might be recommended to bring the human back in the loop a bit as the quality of content (mispronouncing words most likely due to misspelling text being processed) has degraded significantly. No longer as happy as I was. 3 months ago I would have given a 5 star rating.
