### 3/5 — Way WAY off lol

*2026-04-26*

This is on iPhone 15. Then I dl’d it to iPhone 13 Pro & it gave me 2 bars I could never do. Also tried with AirPods Pro’s (2 + 3), and maybe the latter was ok bc C#1 was achieved, but I doubt it lol.

**Developer response:** Hi! Thank you for your detailed feedback!

Our app determines your vocal range when you speak or sing in your natural, comfortable voice -without intentionally raising or lowering it. Using an extremely high or low voice may affect the accuracy of the result.

If you have any questions or suggestions - feel free to reach out, we'll do our best to help! :)

### 2/5 — Do Not Purchase

*2025-04-24*

I can’t restore my purchase & get pro again. The quality of the app has steeply declined. Feels like a money grab or scam. There has to be something better than this.

Also the range seems off I can jump from bass to soprano.

The older versions of the app were better

**Developer response:** Thanks for your honest feedback — and we're really sorry for the frustration you've experienced.

Not being able to restore your PRO access is unacceptable, and we absolutely want to help fix that. Please make sure you're signed in with the same Apple/Google account used for the purchase. If the issue persists, contact us via the app or directly on Telegram at @vocaberry_support_001 — we’ll restore your access manually if needed.

Regarding the vocal range — thank you for pointing this out. We're actively working on improving range detection to avoid extreme jumps like the one you described.

We appreciate your support and will do our best to bring the app back to the standard you remember and deserve.

### 3/5 — Has issues

*2025-01-23*

The area that you can manually correct your range - the one in one of the pictures - does not go below C2 or above C6, and if you try to open it when your range isn't fully on there, the app CRASHES. Big issue, needs fixed.

### 3/5 — Asking me to pay again

*2025-01-05*

I paid for this app more than a year ago. I just updated and it wants me to pay again and I lost features I had access to from before. I will update this review in a couple weeks to reflect whether or not this is fixed. If it is I’ll give it more stars. If it’s not I’ll give it less.

### 3/5 — Ugh

*2024-11-22*

First I paid for the app prior & there is no way to restore my purchase. Also the range seems off I can jump from bass to soprano.

The older versions of the app were better

### 3/5 — Seems off? Might be a glitch?

*2024-07-07*

I did it and got soprano but that just didn’t feel right. Ive always been a mezzo or alto. So i did it again and got soprano again. So i had my friend whos a tenor do it and he also registered as a soprano. I think its a glitch or something.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the app didn't meet your expectations. I'm working on improving its functionality and user experience. Please update to the latest version soon.

### 2/5 — Good idea for an app but feels incomplete

*2022-01-14, version 2.1.0*

I downloaded this & paid for the pro version to check my vocal range and find some artists who have similar range. I am female, my range is D2 to C6. All of the suggested artists/songs are male, and a lot of the comparisons are male. I don’t understand why this is. eg. the suggested most comfortable songs are Kiss and AC/DC. Does this seem appropriate for someone who probably a soprano & is female?

I’m saying now, I would not be most comfortable singing these songs & would rather attempt Ariana Grande tracks give me the choice. My voice is closer to hers than Gene Simmons - by a fair margin.

Some of the features feel incomplete, it seems like the app needs work.

### 3/5 — Something Soulful Please.

*2021-12-07*

This App. has The potential to be a great app. According to this app, I am a Mezzo Soprano vocalist, but the App. only presented songs by Men for my voice. Also, there was nothing current available for me to sing. Especially there was nothing soulful presented. I would’ve paid $3.99 if there were soulful songs available. Lastly, my range surpasses what’s available in the app, but the app stops monitoring before I reach my lower range. I’m a female, but I can sing baritone notes, I can also hit Mariah Carey notes, but again the app would not register those notes.

Had this been more robust, I would have easily purchased it. Thanks for the experience and the work you have contributed to develop this app. I will keep my eyes open for an update.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that the app didn't meet your expectations. We've addressed the issues you mentioned in the latest update, so please try updating the app to see the improvements.

### 2/5 — No flexibility

*2021-03-05, version 2.1.0*

Some are complaining it doesn’t go high enough. I have a problem at the other end of the range. It will only go down to C2 (whatever that is), but it’s obvious I’m getting below that.
A piano keyboard with middle C marked would be a much more useful benchmark for most people. It also needs to be more flexible to allow for higher and lower ranges than its basic datum lines. If it can’t display the note it detects, it’s not doing its job.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2021-01-29*

I had high hopes for this app. It sounds great in the description but alas I find it severely lacking in actual delivery. The pitch range finder is way off to start with. I am a bass and for some reason it says “Mezzo Soprano” after recording my voice. That’s ridiculous since my vocal range is from C1-A4. The range scale inexplicably ends at C2, so it’s missing an entire octave at the bottom of the register. Granted not all basses can hit C1 but they should be able to hit either an E1 or F1 and that’s not an option with this app currently. I know you can adjust the sliders manually but, in my opinion, that really defeats what this app was designed to do. Maybe the dev put that in so you could tweak things to see what other songs and artists would match up with you if you sang in a slightly higher or lower register. The top end of the Soprano range does not seem to suffer from being cut short like the bass. There are probably some sopranos that can go above the C6 and would say extend this to C7. I’m not exactly sure what buying the pro version of the app gives you, but I, for one, am not willing to spend money to upgrade an app that in my opinion is already lacking in its delivery. For now I’d say pass on this app until the dev makes some necessary tweaks!

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback! We understand your frustration with the pitch range finder, especially considering your vocal range as a bass. We are aware of the limitations in detecting lower registers and are actively working to improve this feature in future updates to better accommodate a wider range of voices, including basses like yourself. The current range scale is indeed too limited for many basses, and your point about not all users wanting to manually adjust the sliders is well taken.

We also recognize the imbalance between the bass and soprano ranges and will work to ensure that all vocal ranges are more accurately reflected in the app. Your feedback on the upper soprano range is also valuable, and we’ll consider extending it further for users with higher voices.

We truly appreciate your honest input—it helps us improve the app for everyone. We hope you’ll give it another try once we’ve implemented these necessary changes. Thank you again for your patience and insight!

### 2/5 — Know your range before hand

*2021-01-10, version 2.1.0*

This is not good for finding your range only for finding like singers which is valuable

### 3/5 — it’s ok

*2020-12-09, version 2.1.0*

if your range doesn’t exceed c6 your fine but subs and frys don’t really work

### 2/5 — Worked only once. Full of ads

*2020-08-27, version 2.1.0*

Cannot record a second time it seems.

### 2/5 — Too many ads.

*2020-08-21, version 2.1.0*

2 stars. It does the range, but adverts keep popping up. Downloaded this 5 minutes ago and seen at least 7 adverts so deleted.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Way WAY off lol

*2026-04-15*

I used high squeaky voice vs low guttural voice and it changed me 1/8. This is on iPhone 15. Then I dl’d it to iPhone 13 Pro & it gave me 2 bars I could never do Csmh. Also tried with AirPods Pro’s (2 + 3), and maybe the latter was ok bc C#1 was achieved, but I doubt it lol. It’s a gimmick & my fellow talkie-friends can tell. Countertenor. Lol I’m F#2

### 1/5 — App

*2025-08-04, version 3.1.1*

Bad app , doesn’t work properly

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2025-04-13, version 3.1.1*

To find your vocal range, you have to speak (not sing) a paragraph of prose . How that can possibly determine your vocal range is one of the universe’s greatest mysteries. It determined that I was a counter-tenor even though I can’t even hit C5 . I made a mistake of paying $6 thinking there was something more substantial to unlock, but nope, that’s it, except for some examples of counter-tenor artists (which I am not). Total rip-off and will be pursuing a refund.

### 1/5 — Waste of £3.99

*2024-09-26, version 3.1.1*

I wanted to find out my vocal type but so far I’ve wasted £3.99 on an app that appears to do nothing and is impossible to understand

### 1/5 — Bass is detected as soprano

*2024-05-22*

I’m a bass but it always registers me as soprano, regardless of how high or low I register my reading sample. Absolutely worthless. It’s not even entertaining, except for making other people laugh at its incompetence.

**Developer response:** That's very strange! Did you select the correct gender in your settings? It's possible you're using an outdated version of the app. Please update to the latest version and try again.

### 1/5 — Lousy App

*2023-06-06, version 2.1.0*

This does not deliver a true representation of singing range. It’s not user friendly and almost amateur. Save your money and find a better quality product.

### 1/5 — WHAT IN DA WORLDDDDD

*2021-02-13, version 2.1.0*

Why is my vocal range always at C6 and this app is so confusing like just tell me what my range is. That’s all a I want to know😤

### 1/5 — Ерунда какая-то

*2020-12-01*

Пою в районе D3, показывает A5. Постоянно меняет показания: то я сопрано, но меццо, то контральто.

### 1/5 — This app is a scam!!! So vicious

*2020-10-16, version 2.1.0*

This app is a scam. !’ It worked for a second and automatically put me in a game app SHI j cost 140 dollars . I’m glad I didn’t fell to their trap and hit a wrong button or at least I hope i didn’t. It’s like a goest! It doesn’t show it Among my apps that I can remove it!!!

### 1/5 — I have a bigger range

*2020-04-05, version 2.0.1*

Ugh, I can go over 2 octaves high than it would let me

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 👍

Хорошее приложение !
Есть аналитика голоса и можно посмотреть, с кем есть схожести из певцов. Хорошая, оперативная техподдержка 👍

### 5/5 — Soprano/ 4 octaves

*2020-08-21, version 2.1.0*

I’m kinda proud of myself I’m a soprano and can sing 4 octaves... that’s Ariana Grande’s range 😭

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2019-08-28*

I love this app a lot!I know my vocal range now!I’ve been searching for a while for an app like this.

The only thing I would change about the app is:
Make the app have up to 6 octaves not 4.

### 5/5 — love it

*2019-08-22, version 1.2.3*

i saw someone say that the notes are fake, my sister has perfect pitch and knows i can hit those notes!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-08-18*

This is a great app for vocalists. Especially lead singers in a band. If the song the band wants to do isn’t in your range you have a choice of changing the songs key,
(which I don’t like cuz some songs only sound good in the original key) or just tell the guys or gals that the song shouldn’t be in the list. Simple as that!! Great App!

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2018-10-02*

It was spot on. When I compared it to my piano it was much more convenient and easy to use.

### 4/5 — An octave off?

*2021-01-19*

I may be mistaken, but I believe this app is telling me an octave below my pitch. I don’t think my voice is near a bass but it’s saying that I’m singing a f2 if this is right, I’m sorry. It doesn’t seem like it is though. The only reference I have is my friend who is in choir class and I feel like he probably is right. He’s a tenor with his lowest note being c3 and I can’t sing lower than him, but this app tells me otherwise... 4 stars only because I’m not sure about me being right.

### 4/5 — Good need s’more range

*2020-01-13, version 2.0.1*

So the app range is from C2-C6 and my range chest G1-A4 total G0-A5 would like if the app had more range on low and high end like a full piano

### 4/5 — Bigger range of notes

*2019-12-28*

The place to show your range only goes up to C6 and I know that I can go way higher than that but I don’t know exactly because it doesn’t show higher notes. Please work on that. Thanks.
