There seems to be a latency issue...if you're recording with a backing track it skips, a lot. And just yesterday it stopped allowing me to record anything at all. Waste of money. Allow me to clarify, I did use headphones, and it would not “load” any song. I had songs downloaded from cds and supposed drm free songs. ( tried them all). Also made fax machine, high pitch, shrill noises. Glitchy. Works for me ### 5/5 — THIS APP ROCK! *2018-08-21, version 2.0* Followed the instructions just as the developer suggests. I am enjoying playing and singing to my favorite tracks and recording them as well. If you have issues email the app support. They are quick to respond and want to help. ### 5/5 — Great app for practicing singing! *2016-11-24, version 1.7* Devox (I think) is short for "De-vocalizer," and it does a good job of removing voals from songs if that is what you want it to do. I use it as a personal karaoke app, which lets me practice songs for church specials. Some of the feature that set it apart from ther karaoke apps are (1) the abilty to remove vocals from songs, (2) the ability to change to pitch of the music, (3) the ability to use any MP3 song (just copy your accompaniment songs to your iPhone in iTunes, (4) the ability to add reverb to mimic a church sanctuary's acoustics, (5) the abillty to set a "Gate" level so that the mic will not pick up backround noise if I am practicing in my car, and (6) the ability to record your performances. I recommend using a set of headphones that does not have a built-in in-line mic, otherwise you will be singing into it. If you use a set of headphones without a built-in mic, then you sing into the iPhone's mic, which works much better in my opinion. Anyway, its a great app. ### 5/5 — Works great, very fun *2015-06-25, version 1.7* Adjust the music level down if it starts clipping. Mic level starts out on zero for some reason, so had to turn that up. After that it was fine. Hit the microphone icon in the upper right corner to load the first song. From then on that icon becomes the album art. Push that to change songs. The pitch change still needs a tiny bit of work, but can normally be fixed with a few messarounds and adjustments of the other sliders. This is far better than any of the previous versions, works as advertised. Was a good buy, quite worth it. ### 4/5 — Great recording app so far except... *2019-06-21, version 2.0* I only took away one star, because the problem that I found seems like it would be easy to fix, but please dear God why does my phone go to sleep while I’m recording??!!! Fix that, and the app is perfect for singing, and having a polished professional sound. Great app except that one issue, which is so frustrating that after the third use and third occurrence, I almost threw my phone. ### 4/5 — SoundCloud Integration/Review *2012-09-29, version 1.5* Works good. Would love to see SoundCloud integration in the future to share my recordings with others. To all users that are experiencing problems at start-up: ive noticed the app does tend to crash if headphones or a mic arent plugged in to the device.
