## What is Vocaler?

Vocaler is an Ear Training App designed for Musicians

The purpose of the app is to help the user strengthen their ears through simple drills. The uniqueness of the app is that it connects western notes with Indian Classical Swaras. Just select your key and start playing on the app.

The app has a tuner which aslo displays the Indian Swaras.

Then there are 3 modes of practice

1. Tune Up Tune Down
This mode will ask the user to sing any note, doesn't matter. The app will then start prompting the user to either tune up or tune down and gives a thumbs up if they are doing it right. This is to check and develop the most basic indicator of ear strength, that is, the ability to recognize pitch.

2. Note Matching
In this mode, the user can tap any swara and listen to the note being played. The app will then give a 3 second timer and then ask the user to sing. They have to sing the same note or an octave of that note to get success. This facilitates careful hearing and repetition. There is a streak counter and a leaderboard.

3. Randomizer
This is the top feature of the app. The Randomizer will randomly play a set of 4 notes depending on the difficulty setting. Then it will wait for 3 seconds and then the user has to repeat the same 4 notes in the same order. Octaves can be sung. This is to further strengthen your listening skills and your ability to accurately repeat what you are hearing.
