The lesson ran on a countdown timer and concluded before I even got through each phrase and the app still acted like I perfectly said all the words. That’s when it asked for a paid subscription. And the Philippine flag used for the Tagalog language icon is upside down (yes in times of calamity it is proper to raise the flag with red on top, but that isn’t appropriate for a language learning app.) I should’ve known from that fundamental mistake that this app is poorly made. If in the future I hear there’s big improvements, I will try it again for but now it isn’t worth anyone’s time. ### 2/5 — Stuck on a screen *2025-12-28* I am on a IPad and I have finished one lesson. So if you are trying to learn a language for free this is not the app. If you have a bunch of money put to the side sure try it. But it is not that great. It gives you phrases to say but doesn’t break down what words mean unless you ask, of which when you do ask what they mean, it interrupts the “lesson.” Sometimes I’d accidentally click on the button and it’d say “good! Now try this phrase!” and move on. Slow it down and give time to break down words. ### 1/5 — No Free Versiom? *2026-03-12* App does not allow you to even create an account without signing up for a 3 day trial and agreeing to an automatic renewal (which of course you could cancel, but the 3 day window is short). But so far that’s not the case. It’s actually making learning difficult because it’s showing me the Tagalog words to say and telling me the Tagalog words to say but it’s not showing me the English translation at the same time in text. It says the English words and then says the words in Tagalog and I’m supposed to repeat it but by the time it finishes saying a sentence I completely forget what the Tagalog I’m saying means. Yeah I’m saying the words correctly,but I don’t know what they mean because there’s no English translation on the screen for me to read to make a connection between what I’m saying and what it means. ### 1/5 — Broken *2025-12-01* Once you get past the intro for your selected language it gets stuck on a subscription page.
