Premium voices seem to be $10 per month. ### 2/5 — Not great *2026-07-22, version 3.0.3* Got the yearly subscription, and halfway through the month I’m being cut off from listening for a “monthly character limit”. So just know if you purchase the subscription you don’t even get unlimited access. The user interface is very basic and kind of dull, and there aren’t that many voices to choose from. The voice also mispronounces words quite often and doesn’t speak with the correct tone while reading. ### 2/5 — English needs a good update *2026-07-21, version 3.0.3* Totally ok with the free option, I am ok with the robot voices. HOWEVER!! It needs to be able to correctly read clear and plain English. One example is when it comes to the word shuffle, it reads shuff-lee prolonging the “E”. As far as I can see even if I upgrade nothing is done to better reading English just no ads and better voice options. ### 4/5 — Great App *2026-06-21, version 3.0.3* And it’s free at least right now I’ve been using it for about two years. I wish that they had a feature to summarize each chapter and also if you could take a bookmark and Mark where you were at and maybe get some highlights in there I really like it even more so than it’s very user-friendly considering Speechify takes you an hour to get on and then you end up having to pay eventually so you might as well not even try to put all your school papers on there because 2 AM night test night you’re gonna be needing it and you’re gonna have to pay $139 so I don’t like it when they have to pay upfront like that that’s not good Those are my two choices this or Speechify and I choose this one. Looked at other reader apps, you can pay far more than this app for premium features. I’ve had this app for years. Highlight what you want to read off the Internet, and click copy, open the voice reader app, as long as you have it turned on in settings, your text will appear, click the arrow at the bottom of the page and start listening. You might get one page of a book for free, but you can watch a quick commercial to reset the app so you can read more pages. For a free app it’s perfect if you aren’t doing a lot of reading. I’m writing this in 2026, the upgrade is $8.99 to read more and get more features. I consider this a good deal. ### 5/5 — Ofc there’s ads *2026-07-08, version 3.0.3* But nothing is free free.
