- The interval against the cantus, named: minor 3rd, perfect 5th, tritone
- The motion type at every step: contrary, oblique, similar, parallel
- Every rule broken, at the note where it broke: dissonance, parallel or direct perfects, leaps beyond a fifth, unrecovered leaps, range breaks, weak openings and endings
- Contrary motion is rewarded where you find it
