Works perfectly for me on iPad and iPhone. I can skip way down my script and the application will find where I am and quickly catch up to me. Great Support and open to feedback. Lifetime license is the best! I hate monthly or yearly subscriptions. ### 5/5 — Best app for this *2026-07-30* Works really well! The Picture in Picture overlay works perfectly so you can use it together with any video or audio recording app, text scrolling is great, overall the app does exactly what is needed. The UI is really nice too! ### 5/5 — It really works *2026-07-29* There’s a lot of AI Slop in the AppStore with teleprompters. I tested the Mac version of this app after testing others extremely pleased by it, not even expecting it to be available on iPhone & iPad. Yet on mobile, it's surprisingly one-to-one to the MacOS version. Also, you can record using the app itself, unlike the MacOS version. (I use OBS normally.) Finally, if you get the Mac license, you get the mobile versions, too, which is awesome af. And your scripts sync between the two seamless, no need to make an account (so I remember). You can record in other apps like camera or screen record, but within the app, admittedly, you have easier access to what is offered in the Mac OS version, like tapping where you want to start from. Nevertheless, this developer is pushing the limits of what is possible on the current iOS. And with voice commands, smartly on by default on the mobile version, you can navigate your script without having to go back inside the app. "go next" "go start" etc. Also, if you have any feedback, which I have, the developer is super responsive, so what more could you ask. 5 stars. ### 5/5 — Simple app *2026-07-29, version 3.7.2* Good app / pretty user friendly!! ### 5/5 — Best teleprompter *2026-07-27* And the best it free to use! ### 5/5 — Finally the Teleprompter I always wanted! *2026-07-26* I probably own three or four other teleprompters that I've bought over the years for my Mac. But this one is the best I've ever owned. I just purchased it today and have already read through three scripts. The voice scrolling is a complete game changer. No more trying to keep up with the right scroll speed, which always messed me up. I am at least two or three times more productive just in this short period of time. I just speak at my own speed, whatever speed that happens to be. I can look away, I can do gestures, and then pick right up where I left off. I can add lib and it stops and waits for me. A big well done and thank you to the developer. I love VoicePrompter! ### 5/5 — Just install it *2026-07-25* Content creator ? Don't think twice. Best teleprompter app in the store ### 5/5 — It really works *2026-07-23, version 3.6.1* A lot of AI slop on the market right now with teleprompters. Get this: when recording with OBS or QuickTime on a Mac, it’s the real deal. Just make sure it’s not set to “Sound,” because that mode sucks. Voice works great. The ability to click on the word you want to start from and scroll is intuitive, but set the command mode in Settings to On; it seems like a feature they didn’t have to add, but it actually works and is useful after a couple of go‑arounds. I do like that it’s something to discover on your own, and I’m glad it wasn’t part of the incredible onboarding experience in this app. Don’t change a thing with it. Also, I super dig that you “Start from Clipboard.” Super cool. I really didn’t want to manage another library, so I love the minimalism of it and hope it barely changes to encourage this “Get it on!” type of workflow. Anyway, I’m probably writing this lengthy review to procrastinate in actually using it 😅. Cheers to the developer; I never thought I’d write a review of this length about a teleprompter app, but here we are. ### 5/5 — Game Changer *2026-07-22* This product is amazing. It works on my computer and my iPhone. One suggestion, make it work on older iPads I’m not able to upgrade my operating system any longer, and this says it requires version 17 which my iPad cannot upgrade too, but it would certainly make my iPad valuable again **Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words 😊. I really really wanted to make it work on older devices, but unfortunately I can't go lower than iOS 17, the app uses to many components that were introduces in iOS 17, including better speech recognition, picture in picture floating window and many visual components. I truly understand how convenient and perfect that would be to use an older device as a teleprompter. But this would mean making much much worse experience for the rest of the users. I hope you understand 😔 ### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed at a good price *2026-07-17* I was looking for a voice tracking prompter app but don’t want an ongoing subscription. First, the app just works and is super simple to use. I bought the lifetime option so don’t have to worry about my budget later. Also of note, I sent a message to the developer on YT and he replied within a few hours. The fact that he’s replying and listening to feedback is huge. I belong to a poetry club and we do recitations over FaceTime. I memorize the poems and use the prompter as a crutch in case I get performance anxiety and forget the next line. The scroll by voice feature is super smooth and the interface is user friendly. I first opened it the program followed my script but then suddenly stopped working and nothing I can think of makes it work again. Tried checking settings etc and nothin. Waste of my time **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback. I can guarantee the app works well. I have many happy users. The most common reason for the voice scrolling to not working is disabled text dictation or siri in macOS settings. I would love to help you and set everything up so it works perfectly. Don’t get this app unless you plan to pay. And even then, I’d say skip it…if you’re going to pay, there are way better options than this. **Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback. A lot of apps handle this with a free trial that expires after 3 or 7 days. I went a different way: the free tier lets you import 3 custom scripts that stay usable forever. No expiration, so you can properly test the app with your own content before deciding if it's worth paying for. This way you test everything - all the premium features that are often gated behind the paywall (like voice scrolling, mirroring, full quality recording etc). Felt more honest than a countdown clock. Sorry it wasn't the right fit for you either way. I don't know which apps you're referring too, but I am 100% confident you won't find any other app with such high quality of voice scrolling and a pictire in picture floating mode. ### 1/5 — Wont stay in landscape mode on iPad *2026-07-27* So frustrating I checked all the settings I locked in landscape and checked my iPad settings to make sure I wasn't locked on portrait and it still will not record with the Teleprompter and landscape mode it automatically flips it to vertical. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! There was a bug with an iPad landscape mode, which was present for 2-3 days. I've fixed it as fast as one user reported it. You can try it now, it works perfectly. If you could update the review after trying the newest version it would mean a lot. I am trying to create the best possible experience ☺️ ### 3/5 — Voice Prompter *2026-07-30* It following your voice is great ### 4/5 — Its good. *2026-08-17* I would rather a limited trial than what this app does. It gives you limited scripts and edits, once you use them the app becomes unfunctional without “pro”. He says it’s to be “consumer friendly” but it actually feels like the total opposite. I would rather start a three day trial so I can make as many edits as I want, try it for a shoot and see if I like it. As for functionality, it’s straight forward, which I appreciate. I make the words fit entirely in my lens to get rid of obvious eye movements. But this means when reading with voice activation, sometimes it lags behind, so I’ll be a few lines ahead of my script. It does catch up because I’ll pause or it will skip to where I am. This is probably because my phone microphone isnt a professional one, so it might just be better to get used to the regular constant setting. Important settings like line activation are not in the settings menu on your actual script, it’s in the main settings for the app. This makes adjustments incredibly annoying because you cant see the effects your edits are making. This makes the fine tuning process VERY tedious. That is the biggest problem, would be 5 stars otherwise. It has a life time license option, which I really appreciate of course. That is actually consumer friendly. The pricing is much better than many other apps. Maybe I’ll buy lifetime, im going to check my other options first, but it seems like the best you can do at the price point. I hope the web version will be updated to have the same native functionality so you can use it with teleprompters that have a tablet that comes with it. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for a detailed review. Most other apps lock the best features behind a paywall, I give all users 3 free custom scripts, so anyone can test the full capabilities of the app and decide if it's worth the money. I think it's more convenient to know if the app does what it claims before purchasing or activating a trial with a payed commitment, which is what most apps do. It's something I didn't like when I was trying to find an app before building VoicePrompter. Because how am I supposed to know, if the voice scrolling works for example before paying. That's the main motivation behind this trial system. I honestly think it's more transparent this way. And for the settings: This is why I made a customizable Dock quick settings. You can add any settings to the quick dock settings, so you can adjust them and see the difference in a real time. And select only the ones you want to use for simplicity. You can even save settings presets for different types of shoots, which saves me a lot of time while shooting. ### 4/5 — Only 3 tries *2026-07-27* The app works great but free version only works for 3 scripts. You cannot edit or do nothing without the pro after that . But it is a good app and open source.
