The app constantly crashes with a “something went wrong error”. If I’m able to open a recording, majority of the time it looks as if it’s playing but there is no sound. Share feature will work in some places, but not all. I thought this would be a great idea with family spread out, but the poor development makes this impossible to use. I’ve contacted support, but very slow process to get a response. ### 1/5 — “Something Went Wrong” *2020-01-26, version 2.4.7* All I get throughout the app is “something went wrong, contact your system administrator”. This app has so many glitches I don’t understand how it was released. I literally have to return my belly buds because this app is unusable. Very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Not Intuitive *2019-11-16, version 2.4.7* I don’t understand how this app has such a high rating. While the concept is awesome it’s just not user friendly or intuitive. The app doesn’t make sense. For example when I record a story of my own they are all located under one icon and it’s labeled with the most recent story name. ### 1/5 — Broken Link to reset password *2019-11-09, version 2.4.7* The bellybuds are great...this app, not so much. I bought a story and before I could use it the app stopped working. I reinstalled the app and now can’t use my password so when I hit the “reset” button to get a password reset email, nothing happens. I want my $$$ back. Update: no response to any emails. Tried resetting password and keep getting an “error” message. **has anyone else had similar issues?? ### 1/5 — Bug on the app, can’t sign up *2019-11-06, version 2.4.7* I cannot sign up, as there seems to be a problem with the app. It won’t allow me to select a country, therefore I cannot complete the sign up process. I have the latest update on my iPhone. Fail. :( ### 1/5 — Garbage! *2019-11-05, version 2.4.7* I installed the app last week and was able to make and share recordings. Today I open the app for my grandparents to record their voices and nothing we record will save. The save screen just sits there and if I try to go back it deletes the recording. Absolutely nothing will save - talk, songs, read NOTHING. Fix this! ### 1/5 — How do you even use this app? *2019-07-17, version 2.4.7* I was gifted a soundbub and downloaded the VoiceShare app to go with it, but I cannot figure out how to use it and there is no instruction. The instructions included with the soundbub are just for the device and there is a promo code included, but I don’t even see anywhere in the app to enter it. It asked to sync with my Apple Music, but I can’t figure out how to add songs to a playlist. Are there directions anywhere online that I am missing? ### 1/5 — Really Bad App *2019-07-01, version 2.4.7* Using this app because we have a surrogate hours away and the app doesn’t refresh when content is added or shared. Playlists aren’t shared so we would need for the surrogate to take recordings from our entire family to create a list. This app is pointless. I guess the business model is more about getting you to buy content versus focusing on users to enable loved ones to come together to start building a relationship with your baby. ### 1/5 — Glitchy at best *2019-01-16, version 2.4.5* This app is horrible. IF I can get it to play recorded stories, it will only play them once before I have to close the app, reopen and hope it works again. Though it usually doesn’t. Tonight I couldn’t even get it to play. Worthless. I am a surrogate and it is very important for this baby to hear as much of her parents as she can. Thought this would be a great way. WRONG. Nothing but a headache and waste of time. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2019-01-13, version 2.4.5* This app is horrible. Password is janky. If you try to reset, it just shoots you back to the app asking you to sign in. You have to delete the app to get the webpage to actually come up. Then when you try to reset the password it says unable to accept new password, no explanation nothing. Then I get some email saying thanks for changing your password! But the ‘new’ password still doesn’t work. It’s 2019, get it together. ### 1/5 — What’s the point... *2018-10-21, version 2.4.1* What is the point of having this app if the Belly Bud headphones don’t even have the right connector to use with an iPhone? I was truly disappointed when I got the headphones and saw that they are only for use with a traditional headphone jack, not the lightning connector on my iPhone. I have been able to use them to play music through my laptop, but the app is only for mobile devices and thus is completely useless with the Belly Buds. Either update your product, and/or make a version of the app that works on computers in addition to mobile devices. ### 1/5 — Where to use code? *2018-09-08, version 2.4.0* I received a code to access free content with purchasing the white noise machine, but I didn’t find any places to use the code. ### 1/5 — App crashes and won’t let me log in *2018-02-05, version 2.2.4* App was working fine a few days ago. Tried to use it today and it won’t let me log in. I enter my email and password, and it literally does nothing. It’s like it doesn’t even register that I’m attempting to log in at all. It appear that this has been an ongoing problem for MANY people for several months, despite numerous updates. Why isn’t this fixed yet? As much as you pay for belly buds, and as finite amount of time that you can actually use them during a pregnancy, you’d expect them to work...every time. When I tap on password it won’t let me, it jumps out of the line showing a message that password is required but I just can’t write it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — This app does not work ! *2024-05-01* Tried logging in for the last 2 weeks. I can’t even get a response for the support email. Extremely disappointing as I am an expecting father and I spent time making recordings for my daughter who is due soon. I’m probably going to get a response to reach out to the support email. They do not respond ! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work at all *2023-07-28* Unfortunately, I can’t record anything in the app (it says to contact my administrator) and after deleting from my phone and redownloading I can’t log back in. Tried to reset my password and am met with a jumble of html. Overall very disappointed in these kinda expensive, large, adhesive headphones I purchased that don’t work at all for their intended or unintended purpose. ### 1/5 — Unable to use app *2023-07-24* The app was wonderful at first but now I’m completely unable to use it. Nothing shows up when I try to select things to record or play. I’m a surrogate and the big sister of the baby I’m carrying sent a message and I cannot access it anymore. I tried emailing support and never received a reply. I recently deleted the app to redownload it hoping maybe that would help but I couldn’t remember the password and now some error comes up when I request a password reset. ### 1/5 — Unable to reach a customer service representative *2023-02-15* This is my first pregnancy and the belly buds and VoiceShare app was recommended by a family member. I was excited to use and record my parents and my husbands parents voice because we leave far from them. I was successful to record and able to play the audio twice. Then there was an update and I had to log in again and reseted my password and my recording got lost. I have been trying to reach a customer service representative for two months now and I have not received an email back. The app only worked on the first day and now I can’t even log on or reset my password. DO NOT make an in app purchase. Too glitchy, will not play music or recordings. I paid $8 for a Bach album to play for baby and it won’t play. Husband bought a book to record himself reading and share with me to play for baby it is NOWHERE to be found. Did not sync with my account. It’s nothing short of a scam. This renders the belly buds essentially worthless. Don’t waste your time or money. ### 1/5 — Good intentions, poor execution and quality *2020-11-24, version 2.4.7* Terrible UX/UI. Impossible to navigate from signup to inviting others and recording. Must be a young company, in dire need of additional funding to execute this service and improve their coding and system architecture. I then tried to reset my password. The password won’t reset. I had heard good reviews about it but don’t bother. The technology is horrible. I have a lot of family out of state and with COVID they haven’t been able to travel. This makes it still feel like they are apart of this experience which I love. ### 5/5 — Amazing! *2019-02-24, version 2.4.6* Who ever came up with this idea is a genius! I love that I can share the app with family and friends who I may not see everyday and they can share stories or just random conversations with the baby. Easy to use, easy to access, and just overall great! I don’t get to see her everyday, but she will always have a piece of me near her. I travel a lot for work so I recorded a bedtime story in Voiceshare for my partner to playback to our daughter when I am away. There’s also white noise albums that soothes her right to sleep and she loves hearing my voice. ### 4/5 — I ❤️ VoiceShare *2017-11-02, version 2.1.0* I bought a pair of BellyBuds for my surrogate so I can be in touch with my little one. This app, though glitchy at times, has neat features to make playlists and audio messages which I can share with my surrogate and my baby can hear my voice. This would be great if that issue were fixed. ### 3/5 — App has been updated *2018-02-02, version 2.2.4* The app has been updated and is working much better. There is still a ways to go before this is a 5-star app, but at least they’re making progress. I keep clicking the “+” to create a playlist but it never saves. Please fix this ASAP!!!! ### 2/5 — Great idea, poor quality app *2018-01-03, version 2.2.2* The idea of belly buds is great, but I’ve struggled to use them because of this app. My family lives 4 hours away so I really wanted them to be able to talk to baby through this. My mom sent two recorded stories and only one came through. The green circle showing there was an unread one was there, but the story would never show up.
