I could replace chrome remote desktop if this was possible. I hope someday they’re able to implement rumble through mifi controllers. I have a Gamesir G8+ Mifi, but it only supports rumble if it’s used through the Mifi protocol… which is rarely done. **Developer response:** The g8+ mfi uses private protocol to rumble, which is unavailable to generic app, thats the problem ### 5/5 — Great app great dev *2026-04-20* Super friendly dev who always helps out users, whether it be in reviews or their discord. Update: Lieber Entwickler, kein „nonsense“, sondern ständige Abbrüche: „Connection Error Failed to initialize video capture/encoding. Is a display connected and turned on?“ **Developer response:** Ok, this is a typical error message of Sunshine (the service app running on your PC failed to assign a display for streaming). 1. It's not a client app(VoidLink/Moonlight) issue. 2. If you have a physical monitor connected, to quickly verify your connection, select a lower resolution like 1920x1080 from the left side settings menu. Then you can try add custom resolution of your iPhone/iPad to the GPU control panel. 3. If your PC is running completely headless without any physical monitor, you'll need a dummy plug (fake displayer), or try installing Sunshine forks with built-in virtual display, one of the most popular ones is Apollo: https://github.com/ClassicOldSong/Apollo ### 5/5 — Great and customisable *2026-04-09* I love all the options, theres more than I hoped for. Use it on my iPhone 15 Pro, iPad M4 Pro, and MacBook M3 Pro. It works on all of em. Worth the $1 folks! ### 5/5 — BUY IT *2026-03-27* Very good app. Few things that need fixes/tweaks, changing the sensitivity does not work for iPad touchpad. Apple pencil is sometimes buggy. Also I would change it somehow to make it easier to swipe left to menu because it feels laggy sometimes. Please try to fix this for seamless operation, sending love. ❤️ P.S you should charge more money for this app like 4.99. **Developer response:** currently the sensitivity settings are all about touch control and gyro. So if you're referring to a physical touchpad, yes, doesn't work for it. There's a "slide threshold" setting in the gesture section of the menu, where you can lower the threshold and expand the menu with a quick swipe. However, I was unable to get a single game working smoothly on here. I even changed all the settings to optimize but the lag was so horrible it made it unbearable. Looks like I’m going back to moonlight. ### 1/5 — Not legitimate *2026-06-20* I bought this thinking it was a complete application only to find out that I was expected to pay extra if I wanted all of the features. **Developer response:** The rating appears to be based on the existence of an optional one-time purchase for digital art, rather than the functionality or quality of the app. Nevertheless, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. ### 1/5 — Pay walls?? *2026-06-12* Got this app a bit ago to play games remotely with tailscale and it works great! However I’m trying to get into digital art and thought this could be a great way to use desktop drawing programs on my iPad. Come to find out that if I want to do this I have to spend $6 on a drawing toolkit to make the Apple Pencil actually usable? If the base app was free I wouldn’t really care about charging for this, but the fact that this is a premium app that already costs money is absurd. There is no reason that support like this should be locked behind a pay wall. Im extremely disappointed and this has left quite a sour taste in my mouth. The rest of the app is great but this is just greedy, do better. **Developer response:** Sorry, I'm afraid you got me terribly wrong on pay walling. Without purchasing drawing toolkit, Apple pencil is usable and working at the same level and capability as moonlight iOS (even better in terms of resolving flickering stylus cursor while hovering). Everything included by drawing toolkit is pro-level enhancement that worth the price. (I will be able to provide a Testflight without drawing toolkit enabled to you, if you dont remember. Update the app to 3.4.4 you can confront me face to face by tapping the question mark on top right and join the discord). If you think I'm greedy by spending months to develop this addon component and setting a reasonable price at 6$, refund drawing toolkit and go for something like easycanvas(13$) or astropad(12$ per month), with poor performance(even by wired connection) and poor pencil pressure curve. Further more, as a sun-moon community & iOS app developer I respect the license, I'm also allowed to earn some extra money in a legitimate way. I refuse to be morally or emotionally manipulated. ### 1/5 — Inaccessible - No network connection *2026-03-26* In my iPad, Void link doesn’t detect anything on my pc even despite sharing the same wifi and ip address. I don’t see anyone making tutorials about this. **Developer response:** Don't blame me it's the problem of your network. Try moonlight-iOS you'll get the same result, unless you totally forgot to grant network access to VoidLink. PC under Wi-Fi connection got lot of connection issues. wired ether connection is strongly suggested. Also try add host manually by entering IP ### 1/5 — Can not full screen *2026-03-15* Cannot full screen on iPad Pro **Developer response:** Blame me for a Sunshine problem with your host? Learn more about the whole self-hosted PC game streaming system and Sunshine forks with virtual display e.g. Apollo. I'm just a streaming client app developer, not your babysitter. ### 1/5 — No gesture to close app *2026-01-12* I use Apollo on HTPC for steaming movies, no games. I don’t use a controller, only touch on iPad to navigate through movie library. Moonlight app has an easy gesture to swipe left at bottom that closes the app. This app has no gesture at all to close app. I have to tap middle bottom of screen a couple of times to reveal the iPadOS floating swipe button, then I usually have to swipe up 2-3 times to force quit the app, then re-open app and manually close the client instance I had previously opened. Way too convoluted. While this app works better than Moonlight overall, and appears to be actively supported, unfortunately I will have to continue to use Moonlight due to this limitation. Hopefully the developers will read this and consider adding a swipe gesture to easily close. **Developer response:** it's UNFAIR !! You didn't read the first launch tip at all, which pops up and stays on screen for 15 seconds: 1. From left edge, slide 20% screen width to open settings menu 2. From right edge, slide 20% screen width to open toolbox menu ... ( Don't believe that ? You'll get it by uninstall and install the app again, then to connect to the host) As soon as you expand the setting menu in session you'll see a broken clip icon which means disconnection. For any one reading this review: VoidLink has 4.6+ overall rating. ### 1/5 — 我 *2025-12-02, version 3.2.3* 会上线tappletv吗 ### 3/5 — I wish i didn't update *2026-05-04* The last update caused me some trouble , now my native touch stopped working ( because of the zoom thing ) , suddenly i got doubled NAT with it + sunshine ( 2 wifi routers connected throught LAN) and i can't connect unless i'm on the same router or through tailscale ( extra latency) , i can't get the full screen on my ipad , just the tv And now i'm stuck with this update :) Also the mouse pointer is now shown on , i cant move my mouse on touchpad to another monitor unless it's shown on the same ipad screen Now if i bring down the notification center it freezes , having to disconnect and reconnect again so it runs smoothly again **Developer response:** Change local mouse pointer to "captured" in peripheral section of the settings menu. And you're likely using metal rendering with the magnifier widget which will cause touch problem you mentioned. Switch to standard rendering. Other issues like latency are not caused by VoidLink update. It is genuinely well-developed and easily understood if you have any experience with apps like this or apps that are similar. Great way to do remote desktop from anywhere. I've been saying for years that people need to start doing this instead of buying Duet or something like that. Super easy to set up. If you have any experience with computers, you can set it up with Tailscale, also another great app not sponsored by either of these. Tailscale, where you can do it from anywhere, or you can just stick with the at-home use. So much better than Steam Link and it is flawless, I can finally adapt the remote session with my iPhone screen ratio and everything comes back to normal on my computer when the session is over. I just have a question for the developper: Is it possible to specifically force the rumble on the iPhone instead of the controller ? Currently there’s an « auto » option to automatically redirect if the controller does not support rumble but it does not work as my controller is marked as having « rumble support » in the settings despite not having any motors at all (Leadjoy M1C+).
