This was 2 years ago, yet we’ve still got no update. It’s 10x better to just sign into your account through the web browser and just track and edit etc. through there. Somehow the developer has managed to build this app to not multithread in any perceivable way, which I guess deserves some recognition. Avoid. Use the website or the desktop app. ### 1/5 — Even paying it doesn’t work properly *2025-04-11, version 1.2.1* The app is meant for the people paying a subscription, and this app always had issues with the pause button not working but now it got worse since the app is failing completely by being very laggy, but also the information page wont open, or will open with some errors. The app is broken and now there is no real reason for me to pay for another year subscription… This was the end of volanta for me. Ah! HOWEVER, this app has been “only available to premium subscribers” for the longest time. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand that that’s not a very logical practice for an app, especially this one. There is absolutely nothing that makes this app special or stand out from it’s website/desktop counterpart, which makes it even worse that this app is locked behind a paywall, like seriously? It makes absolutely no sense it just feels like the developers are begging for money. It is extremely laggy/buggy and lacks basic functionality. Upon installation and launch, users are presented only with a login screen. Without an active Premium subscription, users cannot access any features, content, or core functionality of the app. This effectively makes the app unusable in its free state and does not offer any trial, preview, or limited functionality prior to purchase. This appears to conflict with App Store Review Guideline 3.1.2(a), which requires that apps using subscriptions provide value to users beyond a mandatory paywall, and Guideline 2.3.1, which requires that app functionality be accurately represented. But on mobile it’s a very poor experience, I have issues pausing flights it just says “unpause” even though my flight isn’t paused. It’s nice too look at the flight progress but for a premium service it’s far from fair. Won’t be subscribing again ### 2/5 — Apps are meant to make mobile experiences more easy to use *2024-10-21* While already accessible on a browser, this app provides no service to customer demand besides having an exclusive app. Locking it under a paywall is not something that will garner customer satisfaction. In addition, while the app itself runs ok and the UI is as nice as the browser, the functionality does not meet web standards. There are plenty of bugs with flight planning that don’t always show up on the web browser, and active pause simply does not work. If you have Volanta Premium and you’re considering downloading this app, I’d say give it a try. If you truly have no other way of accessing the browser when on the go, this may be your plan Z. Otherwise, consider continuing to utilize the browser web application of Volanta rather than this mobile app. ### 2/5 — Meh *2023-01-22* Even with a premium subscription it’s pretty much useless. I can’t pause my sim I can’t see my friend list. I can’t even find my own flight without extensively looking for it, there no center button.
