This app records every touch your team makes. Uses each touch to create stats on everything you could think of. This is by far the best app I found. It's easy to use and their tech support is incredibly helpful with short hold times. If you purchase I highly recommend watching the videos on their website, it was key for me in realizing the potential of this product. ### 5/5 — Volleyball Ace Software *2016-02-21, version 9.39* I have use this software for over a decade and this software is by far the best software on the market to keep volleyball stats. I have tried all different types of programs but none of those programs can hold a candle to Volleyball Ace. The software knows volleyball and knows how and what stats are compiled during a game. Basically requires you to tap player numbers that are already laid out on your display in the current rotation. It took me about two games before I was proficient with the software. Quick stats on the fly for offense or defense can help you see who has the hot hand and where you teams weaknesses are. If you want all your teams volleyball stats for a match this is the software to get. Volleyball Ace support has been tremendous throughout the years switching from the Palm device to the iPad. Very satisfied user and definitely would recommend this software. ### 5/5 — Volleyball ACE Makes me a Better Coach! *2015-11-03, version 9.37* I have been using Volleyball Ace to stat my volleyball teams for over ten years. Volleyball Ace on the iPad is wonderful. Recording stats is so fast and easy that my assistant can record stats during the set and we can review them on the bench. I especially like the charting features which let me see both our attacks and our opponent's attacks, and where they are successful. I also like the Opponent Insight reports which help me to understand where our opponents are having success against us. The information I get from Volleyball Ace has made me a better coach, because the data helps me understand our team's performance on the court. I love Volleyball Ace! ### 5/5 — Best Volleyball Stats App! *2015-10-06, version 9.34* Volleyball Ace is the best app for recording volleyball stats. Because Volleyball Ace understands volleyball, you can record stats with half as many taps. Users who are not familiar with the details of volleyball stats can still record stats accurately. And because Volleyball Ace is fast, it is perfect for in game stats. I purchased several of the $2-$5 stat apps and ended up deleting them because it was too hard to keep up with the pace of play. I love Volleyball Ace. It is absolutely worth it. ### 5/5 — Volleyball Ace *2015-08-25, version 9.30* Great customer service and a user friendly program that gets stats done with little effort! I would recommend is program to anyone looking to improve the way they currently take stats! I encountered an error in the way I had recorded stats and didn’t notice until I got home. I emailed VolleyballAce customer service and they offered to fix it for me, and within a couple of days they emailed my correct files to me. The customer service provided is second to none. Their program and customer service makes the app well worth the money. ### 5/5 — Great Program *2015-08-20, version 9.30* I have used this program for over 10 years( back when it was on the palm pilot) We used to give the JV team paper and pencils to take stats. I rarely got the pencils back let alone correct stats. This program is such a time saver. I haven't thrown a clipboard in years! Here in Ohio we upload our match by match stats to MaxPreps to select our All Ohio teams. I can upload a match in 2 mouse clicks. It is so user friendly that I can have the stats recorded by my manager and assistants. And the ability to consolidate stats and to email them is really handy. I know there are other ones out there but I don't think any of them could pull me away from this program. It gives you everything you need. So easy and now we use it on the iPad instead of our palm. Easy to learn how to use, and can be done by one person with a little practice. New version fixed problems with the libero, so no trouble with that anymore! I haven't seen very many other stat programs, but it would take a lot to get me to change! I have seen programs where you need to click 'dig' or 'kill' for each girl. Volleyball Ace does it all for you, you need to only change manually for a block or if you give the setter the error as opposed to the hitter. Great program - would recommend for anyone needing a stat program! ### 5/5 — Great stat app *2013-08-22, version 8.80* I got this app last year, and I would hate to use anything else now that I know how easy stats can be. This is extremely user-friendly with plenty of shortcuts to make stats less time- and labor-intensive. The Desktop Analyzer that can go with this app makes stat compilations in a snap and then converts files easily for use in MaxPreps and other stat compilation programs and entities. There are so many options on how you can look at the stats. I used to use it with a palm, and now on the iPad. It has grown so much and has become even easier. You get to speak/email a real person and Gerrie has always come to the rescue for me! ### 5/5 — Great Stat APP *2013-08-19, version 8.75* I am a high school Varsity volleyball coach and we have been using the Volleyball ACE app on a palm pilot for years. I have recently purchased an IPAD mini and was excited to find the Volleyball Ace app was available. My assistant coach uses the program during our matches and can easily keep up with the play and still coach our players as well. We review the stats with the players after every match, and they love the feedback. The Volleyball Ace app also makes the end of season individual awards submission packages (all region, all state etc…) extremely easy to complete, since everything is already compiled for us. As a high school and club coach, I use the information to determine how well my team is playing skill by skill and match by match. The program is easy to learn, easy to adjust and allows for easy modification during a match. I have used several other programs but none compare! If you looking for a stat program for any level boys or girls I suggest Volleyball Ace! 4 State titles and mutliple Conference titles have been won using this program! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible *2011-08-27, version 7.44* I have used VB ACE for several years on Palm device and was happy to see it as an Ipad app. After downloading, VB Ace has now disappeared from being an Ipad app only Iphone. Unable to download stats to game manager. Total waste of $90. Very disappointed with support and ability to sync Ipad stats with computer. Do not buy for Ipad. I phone app may be better but what is the point. I would like a larger screen than a palm or iphone and thought that what you were getting with Ipad app. ### 2/5 — Latest version has major bugs *2013-02-10, version 8.60* The latest version that allows two liberos to be selected does not work well. It does not understand that one libero can come off the court and then after a play the other libero can come in at a different position than the first one left. Also sub reminders no longer work. It will sub a player into a different position than you asking it to do. Usually one spot ahead of where you want. Please fix! ### 2/5 — Not for iPad *2011-05-25, version 7.44* I'm very impressed how little we settle for. Granted the potential for this app is very good, but bottom line it is not designed for an iPad. It's clunky and quits every day that I use it, once in the middle of the match. Graphs of serves, hits, etc froze the iPad completely. Had to turn off and restart. This was built for a palm pilot and patched together to be somewhat functional on the iPad. Hello, cannot email stats!! It's not like I'm already up late enough. I spent many unnecessary hours going from iPad to desktop to excel to email. Two buttons and I want to be done for the night. Redesign thinking like an iPad user, not an engineer or volleyball coach. For 90$ it's not a request, it's an expectation. I'm stuck with it now that our school has bought it. This is the most expensive I have ever bought times 5! great idea, but if I bought it for the iPad, optimize it for the iPad! Give support for the iPad. I'd buy it again if were optimized. I dread the extra time away from my family it will take to transfer stats to head coach and newspaper. Powerful like a locomotive, but not very intuitive outside the volleyball aspects. I can do what this app does faster with paper and a desktop. With other apps, they are user intuitive yet don't know anything about volleyball. they stat using incorrect formulas, don't stat the most common ways that coaches think, but at least with minimal effort, I can get the info published to others in seconds. It would be nice to fully chart the other team roster included. At the state level it helps to know the key players of the other team and their tendencies. I love volleyball ace and the volleyball strength this app has, but as an efficient tool. $90 does not warrant anything above 3 stars. People don't fall in love with what an app does, fall in love with what you really need it to do. Ivballstat 2 for iPad is coming much closer, much faster to the end game. ### 3/5 — Problems with update *2013-09-26, version 8.82* I'm not sure exactly when this problem started, if it was the last update or update to iOS 7 but now I can't do a complete match that goes to 3 sets. It has always asked when the 3rd set starts if you want to change to total points from 25 to 15. In the state of Missouri, high school are required to play to 25. Now,in the vb Ace app, no matter if I answer the question correctly (no) or try yes it still saves and closes the match when one of the teams gets to 15. I am missing many of the stats that happen in those last points of the third set. Very frustrated because this did not used to be a problem. Help! ### 4/5 — Great Program! *2013-09-05, version 8.81* I've been coaching at the high school and college level for quite some time now and I have always used Volleyball Ace for my stats because of it's simplicity and efficiency. The one tap feature makes it easy to keep up with the pace of the game and long rallies. While coaching at the high school level, you experience a turn over of managers every couple years which means you're constantly training new people; the program is very accessible and everyone is able to master it in a short amount of time. Volleyball Ace allows you to pull up stats in the middle of the match very quickly which ultimately allows room for making quick coaching decisions. Without a doubt once you've used this program you'll never need to look for a new one. ### 4/5 — Helpful, easy and nice *2011-03-23, version 7.44* I wrote a review previously that was only a 1 star. After speaking with volleyball ace several times, and figuring out the issues, I have changed my review to 4 stars. Their customer service was very helpful, easy to talk to and got back to me in a timely manner. It enables me to quickly generate stats based on the play of the game. Ports easily to MaxPreps and the consolidation feature allows me to quickly track trends within a match or across portions of our season. In one of our recent games, the young score keepers had challenges running the score board. The Officials relied on me (really, Volleyball Ace) for the official score. Because of its intuitive interface, I’ve had students and parents keep stats with it and done it myself as an assistant coach. We are known in our district and region for having complete and accurate stats, which helps my players get the recognition they deserve in the post season. Also, with Volleyball Ace, I know more about the attack tendencies of our opponents than their own coaches. I know where they attack from the most, but more importantly, where they score from the most. We know which positions to focus on and which to ignore. My wife and I have coached our varsity team for 34 seasons and we’ve used Volleyball Ace for over half that time. I’d never go back to paper stats. One person can easily set up the matches and record the progress of the game. Definitely an app parents can use because the action of the game is programmed in. I became the go-to many times because it easily tracks every touch on the points and the stats have helped our coaches make in game and team adjustments throughout the seasons.
