Big City has had this feature for awhile. ### 2/5 — Volo NY amazing, Volo Philly Atrocious *2026-04-26* I did five groups in NY and they were all incredible. Well worth the money and then some. Then I moved to Philly and I’ve never felt more disrespected in my life. Philly Volo doesn’t care one bit about its customers. I had many valid complaints and I was ignored all the way through. The venues are terrible. The staff is a mixture of incompetent and rude. Any concerns were met with gaslighting and honestly some bullying???? That would be nice. ### 4/5 — Fun For All Ages *2025-07-25* The app really helps me figure out how much fun I’m going to have throughout the week because I can sign up for pickups, happy hours, events, workout classes, etc. When I search in the app I can sign up for everything right then and there. Sometimes there are updates that sign you out of the app, but that happens with all apps. ### 1/5 — Paid for a tournament then when I showed up nobody was there. *2025-06-12, version 4.6.4* Horrible app! Very disorganized and money grabbing. ### 1/5 — Terrible pickleball league NYC *2025-05-09* I signed up for their pickleball league and had a bad experience. First, the game was under the hot sun on a high school rooftop which was super uncomfortable. Second, my team had only 3 players, while another one had 7. My team members were rude and inconsiderate. I was left out. The staff is reluctant, and hasn’t answered my email for almost one week. You can’t reach them via phone too. I feel like I just wasted my money and energy. I really wish it would sync with my calendar. Game times often vary from week to week, and currently I have to manually check and update my own calendar. Automatic syncing would also help with keeping track of my one-off drop-in sign-ups. ### 1/5 — Torn achilles/concussion from leagues *2025-01-18, version 4.5.8* Suffered a torn achilles from a turf field they were playing on. Got a concussion from a kickball league I was in with them. They could not care less, in nyc people rarely show to our matches. ### 1/5 — Dont do basketball!! *2024-12-17* I joined a basketball team in nyc and although the prices seemed generous in comparison to other leagues it was a nightmare!! Half of the games had no referee so it was equivalent to paying for a pickup game! When trying to call the league number and leave voicemails there is no staff at anytime of the day or week to take or return calls.. Their only means of reliable contact is emailing you endless invites to renew into the next season.. Previously, I would register for a league and the league would never show on my schedule ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Terrible app experience *2026-05-12, version 4.7.7* I can’t get this app to download on my phone. ### 1/5 — Genuinely Terrible *2026-03-27* My team and I played in Zog since Covid. We never had a single issue over that time. Since Volo took over, it’s been genuinely terrible. The umps they hire seem to only need the qualification of showing up. Their scheduling has been abysmal. We had multiple back to backs and on one of those they scheduled us erroneously on two different fields. The final straw was a misunderstanding that lead to an overly emotional ump throwing insults at our player and the decision was made to suspend our teammate. Avoid Volo. ### 1/5 — Overpriced and undermanaged *2026-02-17, version 4.7.5* They charge an arm and a leg for a month or two of your sport. Most the real sports are far too competitive and don’t cater to recreational crowd. Emailed them and they responded back with a reset password solution which never worked. Can’t access this app and they refuse to help. ### 1/5 — Worst login experience ever *2025-10-11, version 4.7.0* I’ve tried logging in several times and the login flow kept booting me out ### 1/5 — Echoing Safety Concerns for Volo Leagues *2025-10-03* Joined an intermediate coed Volo volleyball league in CA. There are significantly more advanced player playing down in the intermediate league - with no guidelines preventing this. These players do not hold back (which would make sense in an advanced league). The ER bill from the spike of one of these players that almost detached my retina and lost time from work and follow up appointments does not make this a group I would rejoin. ### 1/5 — Won’t let you opt out of shirt *2025-10-02, version 4.7.0* I’ve done VOLO for many seasons and don’t need another shirt of the same color. Sign up and join any league, you just show up and scan in. The app even had some technical difficulties stopping me from signing up but they updated it within 12 hours, super quick technical turnaround made me not miss my first event I wanted to attend. Sure it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done. ### 5/5 — Bugs from all these old reviews have been fixed *2024-08-06* A lot of the complaints here are about the sports, or shirts, or bugs from a while ago so I just want to say: If they don’t offer your sport in your area, this is not the place to complain. This is a review of the app itself and its functionality and user experience. Same goes if you couldn’t get your shirt color or whatever. As for the UX, yes it had bugs, yes it’s still not perfect, but it’s come a long way in the last year or so and now I have no complaints or issues with the user experience that even comes to mind. I’ve been captaining a team in this league for 4yrs now and can say the app is in a good place, especially compared to all the other options around here in NYC (which I’d argue are probably all of the best options most likely). ### 5/5 — Amazing Fun!! *2024-01-30, version 3.0.4* I love Volo and the idea of Volo having sports and events to be able to spend my time at.
