Im Sperrbildschirm wird der Playbutton falsch angezeigt. Obwohl die Musik läuft, ist hier das Dreieck zu sehen. Spotify funktioniert nicht.

This app used to work fairly well but over the last few years the airplay support has gotten worse and worse. I can now start an airplay stream but it will quit within 10 mins. So I started playing music with the built in internet radio stations which means it will play continuously but after ten mins or so the app looses connection to the Volumio device and I can no longer control it. The Home Screen of app will see my device and says it online but cannot connect to it to control it. Good software and good idea but it needs to work for more than five minutes at a time.

As another reviewer has remarked if your Raspberry Pi is old or if your phone is old, there will be a lag. But overall. The app and the software it works with function remarkably well, considering how little it costs to put together a system that will stream lossless music and allow one to repurpose an ancient stereo and speakers for the digital age. It should be noted that Volumio uses Wi-Fi and not Bluetooth, ensuring every bit and byte passes from your file to your ears.

Nach dem Update auf die aktuelle Version funktioniert die App jetzt wieder. 
Lediglich die Einbindung von Quobuz ist etwas umständlich und könnte besser sein.

Dopo qualche settimana di problemi con la nuova versione ora funziona. Bravi. Un pelo più lenta del semplice browser ma esteticamente più gradevole. Permette di gestire più apparati (sia hardware Volumio che SO Volumio).

Anche con questa ultima versione ci sono problemi (hard disk collegato direttamente a Rivo + e gestito da ipad).  Se aggiungo un cd o un brano alla playlist talvolta me ne aggiunge anche un altro a caso.
Se si chiude l’applicazione e si riapre dopo un po’ di tempo ci sono difficoltà a ricollegarsi con l’hardware (ci vogliono numerosi tentativi)
Il collegamento a Radio24 non funziona e si evidenzia il messaggio “not compatible in US” ma io sono in Italia…

I have a Rivo+ which is great. However the controller software app is not. It keeps getting tied in knots and unstable enough to be put off its stride merely by jolting the iPad. I thought initially that the Rivo+ streamer needed a reset but have learned that the iPad is the culprit here and this is what needs rebooting. You can tell this by the whirling circle at the top right suggesting that the software is overloading it. I am using a 32gig 6th generation iPad so maybe it is not powerful enough. But it should be. Time for some optimisation I think.

Having the nerve to charge people for a poorly designed and polished app should have it all immediately pulled from the all app stores. Very disappointing especially after having charged $80.

I bought sms n100 streamer and tried to hook it up as directed in the manual.
But, after installing Volumio app and connected to sms, Volumio app shows only Chinese menu….so frustrating and never experienced like this before. Volumio has solution?

No gain. A software update erased all my setting included then max volume level limit, then the freaking app via BT decided to go to 100%, delaying my speakers.

Ho installato questa versione su un iPhone 7 che uso solo a questo scopo ma l’app non si apre. IOS ver. 15.8.6. Non si apre nemmeno.

What a mess I now have.  I could connect to my raspberry pi Volumio, so I have upgraded to v4 Now my display does not work.  After several hours I now have work out how to get the old app from another phone - such a pity the iPhone auto updated.  Honestly the software hassles give me the #*!*%

For the app itself, giving one star is too much. The application is unable to locate any device, whether setting up as wired or wireless. To be fair, the device is very good, for the price (and quite a bit more) you will not find a better streaming device (Rivo+ in my case). Device setup is not trivial since that is what the app is supposed to help with.

V3.703 is the last version that works with the Raspberry Pi 4 and Hifi Berry DAC. All versions after forgets settings, DAC type, not able to capture all music and scrambles the music out of order. You have to reinstall the DAC after every start and try to update the music as well. I’ve got 18,000 songs. Try updating that every time you want to use the app :(

Sometimes works, sometimes not. Absolutely not reliable, slow, not responsive, terrible software not matching quality of great and expensive hardware….very disappointing and frustrating.

I’ve used this Volumio app for several years and find it quick, essentially easy to use and navigate but there are frustrating bugs leading to operational issues. In the latest version I find the app sometimes can’t locate my player/s without a reboot of my phone. Or it locates the player but I can’t access it without rebooting my phone. A second annoying issue is that when exiting an artist listed under say for example S instead of finding myself still in the S section it has jumped back to A. Very irritating to have to res roll down to S again when you have a large music collection. (This app desperately needs an alphabetical jump menu like the Audirvana app).

Rather than adding additional AI features the developers should address these fundamental issues first.

The previous version was very slow to find my Volumio install. Using the web interface was always much quicker.

This updated app is significantly quicker to find my installation on the first go. And it’s still immediately available when I want to use it later, or the next day. 
Just as it should be. Super. 
This actually makes it useful to have and use. 👍

Aplikacja działa u mnie w zestawieniu z RPi 5 8GB i HiFiBerry DAC2 PRO podłączonych przez LAN do domowego serwera. Banalnie prosta konfiguracja źródeł i wtyczek, wszystko zagrało od pierwszego strzału. Aplikacja jest bardzo prosta w użyciu i działa płynnie.

Всё гениальное просто. Компьютер, ЦаП и - полетели. А кто ещё может так же? Конечно, roon. Что с ним не так? Идея о том, что я не должен искать музыку по папкам. Из бесплатного - Daphile. Закончил упражнения с ним из-за того что он так и не смог проиндексировать мою коллекцию с музыкой. Ещё вариант - mcontrol/mconnect. Плюс этого решения - не нужен управляющий компьютер. Но здесь плоховато с поиском. А volumio? Он просто работает. На управляющем компьютере стартует с флешки. Управляется с телефона. У меня музыку тянет с диска, подключенного к роутеру, но можно и прямо с ПК. И музыку с телефона через Airplay на сервер volumio отправлять тоже можно! Ничего не лагает, не глючит. Бесплатно! Красивое и удобное. Как за это чудо можно поставить меньше 5 звёзд? Что ещё нужно? Спасибо разработчикам!!!

And it now does mostly what you’d expect. Very fast connection to your Volumio instances on start (before, it often could not even find my Volumio instances.) A huge improvement and I now find myself actually using the app more than the Web interface for the first, it’s so good. Congrats to the developer, as this was formerly a major shortfall in the platform.
