All I ask for more camera movement abilities, the ability to choose starting characters’ gender, and another way to get characters like gacha or character wheels. ### 4/5 — Storage issue *2023-03-14, version 1.3.1* Game is great but one issue is that monster and mini mob storage is capped 200 and there is no way of upgrading. The voice acting is also great, an the combat system is decent. What l don’t like is that sometimes the movement feels a bit clunky which i feel is due to the camera auto locking on the boss so say I want to run pass a moumon, I can’t exactly see where I’m going cause there’s no way to move the camera away. There’s also this huge paywall that other people seem to have a problem with, most of the characters are locked behind a huge paywall so if you want to play a 3 or 4 star character, you have to spend real life money. I don’t mind it to much because the game gives you one 4 star free of charge and compared to other games I’ve played, the paywall isn’t that expensive. Can’t remember if it was a solid number or if it had 99cents behind it. Some lower star character can be bought with gold but not a lot. It was better off being a gacha game then a hidden small paid game. Game is worst then avatar generations. Also, if you pick a character and change your mind. You can delete but have to redownload the 1.8gb data again which is dumb. This game is few games that make you have to redownload game after deleting account sets. Game is also not English voice dubbed knocks it down a few stars for what the game is. Overall the gameplay is amazing but I have… one little problem. The main character. I don’t know what her problem is or if this is a translation issue but her constantly basically sexually harassing every monster she gets her hands on is honestly kind of obnoxious and sickening. The monsters aren’t even humanoid or able to speak so the fact she pretty much romanticizes or sexualizes every situation a monster is involved in is genuinely disturbing and I honestly wish they could fix that, especially if it’s a translation issue. ### 3/5 — monster hunter stories *2023-04-18* this game is cute! it’s very similar to monster hunter stories in concept. However, this game definitely feels like its still in early access. some of the mechanics either aren’t fleshed out or aren’t accessible, and it’s unclear whether progressing the story will allow me to unlock them (things like utilizing mini-mons in missions or expeditions, the effects of training and leveling up mons, etc.). also, certain battle mechanics like dodge are janky at best and nearly impossible to use at worst. And things like enhancing characters or leveling up skills are not intuitive and also not very clearly explained. Also, every single unique character is locked behind their own separate paywall. this game is not gacha (which is fine with me), but i’m not willing to pay $20 for a four star character. i think switching to a gacha system where the currency needed to roll can be bought for money would be a better system, and if needed certain map areas with unique monsters could be locked behind a paywall as dlc, i think that would make more sense than the current system. overall, the game is worth a try! i’d just maybe like to see a more workable UI (it shouldn’t take me forever to figure out where i can view all the mons currently housed in my farm) and more robust mechanics, along with a currency system that makes more sense for the players. Given how new this game is, i think it’s really promising and i’m hopeful for more updates soon!! ### 3/5 — Very fun but… *2023-03-17, version 1.3.1* This is easily a 5 star games. A free monster hunting, catching, and breeding game with good graphics. It’s rated 3 stars because there’s no way to adjust camera and the game needs buttons, not directional swipes. Fighting against hard monsters is already challenging enough, the lack of camera and buttons makes dodging and positioning a nightmare, so much that I want to rate this game at 1 star. Make the changes and you’ll get 5 stars. Once you get control of Fina you can click the map and change languages in the option from Japanese to English. This seems to be fully translated! Runs well so far, really neat game that I was not expecting to be released.
