I’d be happy to leave more detailed feedback if that were the case. Feel free to contact me for more information ### 3/5 — It should not be this hard to reset a password *2022-07-12* I forgot my password and I need to reset it. What’s the point in sending my a link to reset it if the link doesn’t actually got to a reset page? Also, you can’t reset it if you don’t know your current password which is frustrating. If I can verify that it’s my account then I should be allowed to change my password. ### 3/5 — I like it but... *2020-11-06, version 2.5.0* The app has been great to create and track activities but it has one big flaw that is very aggravating. There must be some timer on the login because just about every time I go to the app I have to login all over again. The app exists on my phone which has facial recognition so it’s already fairly secure. My banking app has facial recognition. My Apple wallet has sensitive information and it just makes use of the phone security. Various other apps have figured out how to be secure. But this app when I need to see some details requires me to type username and password over and over. It always seems to be at an inconvenient time when it’s difficult to do one handed or not timely like at a stop light when I’m looking for information quickly. This app would be darn good if this could be fixed. Heck let me decide and I’ll keep that thing persistently logged in. Or if someone else doesn’t want that then disable the persistent logged in state... but that would raise this app 2 more stars! Facial recognition is already there on iPhone. This having to login each time is not fun. Heck I’d pay for an upgrade version if that were added. Ok I’ve said my peace. Really it’s a great app but to the owner, please fix this login issue. ### 1/5 — Can’t access without an organization invite *2019-07-08, version 2.4.1* Paid for this app thinking I could find volunteer opportunities as an individual but can’t access without an invitation code from an organization, which I don’t have. Really disappointed. Who do I contact for a refund after I remove the app? ### 1/5 — Was working fine until...... *2018-10-18* Once the update on October 10th happened, when I click on the VOMO app all I see is a grey screen with the vomo logo on it. Great timing. Also instructions aren’t clear on how to submit service hours into the app for my school to verify it. **Developer response:** Hi Rokar12, Thank you for your feedback. We have an updated app in to Apple for review right now. Very soon you will get an alert to update you app, and things will be back to normal on VOMO! As far as updating hours for your volunteer resume, you must submit outside hours to your VOMO administrator. Thanks, VOMO ### 1/5 — Great Concept, If I Could Use It *2018-10-11* There is no way to enter this app as a new user. When you first open the app, all that you see is the app’s logo and a button to “log in.” There is no sign up button. You must have already created an account to use the app. **Developer response:** Hello, Thanks for your feedback. As you noticed, VOMO requires an invitation from one of our partner organizations to create a Volunteer account. We do this to ensure that your experience is great as you connect with those organizations on VOMO and get signed up to serve. Do you happen to be connected to an organization that is using VOMO to mobilize volunteers? Thank you! ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work *2018-09-22* The app needs to be updated. I will get notifications and then open the app and the notifications don’t load. **Developer response:** Hi BaylorGuy0818, Thank you for your valuable feedback. The next button disappears after entering my info but nothing changes. There are no error messages indicating something is wrong. For too long I’ve had to use antiquated methods to find and sign up to serve in my community. If we want more people to give their free time to volunteer it should be EASY and VOMO has done just that. All I had to do was download the app, create my volunteer profile, and (using geolocation) search for volunteer opportunities nearby. It took forever to load the calendar. ### 1/5 — Unable to reset password !! *2026-02-28, version 4.0.5* I am not able to reset my password and all I want to do is volunteer 😔 ### 1/5 — Terrible app I can’t even sign in *2026-01-06* The place where I volunteer at uses this app for you to sign up to volunteer. And I wish they didn’t. Because this app I can’t even login and then every single time I opened the app and asked me to login. The Google authentication just takes me to VOMO’s website. Can you guys please fix this? ### 1/5 — It’s so bad *2025-12-14* It’s crazy that it’s been 2 years and they still haven’t fixed their interface. It’s very difficult to do anything on this app: find your organization, find opportunities, find points of contact; and it’s impossible to do other things, like track what you signed up for, switch dates/shifts, cancel, etc. it’s basically literally unusable. Had to delete. ### 1/5 — Unusable *2025-10-13* When I try to open the app it says it needs to update and will not allow me to use the current version. The App Store doesn’t show any updates. I deleted and reinstalled and get the “Update” message again. Thanks. ### 1/5 — Short-sighted *2019-10-26, version 2.4.4* No way to volunteer without an invitation. ### 1/5 — App needs some help on Apple at least *2019-08-01* This app is much MUCH better in a web browser. On a mobile device it’s near impossible to do much more than indicate you are going to an event. So it may be fine for getting ten folks signed up for a yard clean up event, but if you want 3 to bring rakes, two to bring trimmers (and heaven forbid you need multiple kinds of trimmers), etc., it doesn’t work. The app can take input but it doesn’t give a person much information. **Developer response:** Hi Mutt527, Thank you for your feedback. One of our core values is “we are always improving”, so we will take this feedback seriously in future updates of the VOMO app. As you noticed the VOMO app is built for volunteers to find and signup for projects in as little as 3 clicks, but the web experience has many more tools for helping volunteer signups. I work in State College, PA. After downloading and setting my location, I was sad to see that the nearest VOMO volunteer opportunity is 2 hours away. What would be some next steps to help connect volunteer opportunities in State College to this app?
