I never really write reviews but this one is very disappointing as I have many of these in my home to have things on timers and what not. It worked great for as long as I’ve had them (since 2021) then I’ll say the end of 2023 the app started saying “Failed to connect to server” which basically limits function and I thought this would be fixed by now and it’s not, seems this app was just swept under the rug so I wouldn’t even bother purchasing or in this case downloading. From something really great to very frustrating and I honestly wish I could give it no stars.

Their smart bulbs last longer than the smart Wyze bulbs that we had at a far more affordable price too. I wish they made cams so we can have a single smart app for those too since Wyze raised their prices of everything now that they got more customers.

It was great when I first downloaded the app. It was a little glitchy but nothing out of the ordinary. When one day I opened it and all my custom colors were gone. I keep getting the message “failed to connect to server” when I try to create new ones. After struggling for a week I let it be, but now it won’t connect to my bulb at all. Hope they fix it. I like my little bulb.

Recent update: The app gives Server connection errors frequently. It automatically deleted the rules I set before, and I can not add them back anymore, so the hardware is useless now.

Update: The developer has contacted me and explained some details. They also gave me suggestions about using Rules. So here I’m sharing the solution; I separated all the rules individually. Don’t combine anything under one rule. Make them separate. If you turn on and off a device, create one rule for tuning on and one particular for off. That way, device automation works well. I converted my review to 5* because they stand behind their product. ————————————————————————— Always have problems with the app. Rules are working sometimes!!! I have to monitor it constantly to check if it works. Now I can’t even sign in to my account because it says request timeout.

This app worked for a few months and it worked fine, with the exception of having to sign in too many times. it wouldn’t retain my login information on my Moto and then on new iPhone 15. Then one morning, it just said it wouldn’t connect. I’ve tried everything, including loading the app, reloading the app and restarting my phone, trying to set up a new account with another email. None of that worked. It always said the same thing.” failing to connect.” I emailed the company told them all of my problem with the app and they never replied to my email. 🤬

I really like using this app for all the lights in my house but it seems to have another bug within the last couple months because my app won’t connect to the server/my presets and seems to be glitching more and more frequently. Hopefully this gets fixed

Recently the app started to give me a message “Could not connect to serve” when trying to use the rules I created. This was slightly annoying so I tried redownloading the app. It started giving me the same error when trying to log in and would allow me to do anything. Great. So I created a new account which seemed to work, but now I cannot connect to any of the devices. So the app is now completely broken and my lights are stuck on the same color and brightness and have to be manually turned off. These lights haven’t ever been the highest quality, but this really makes them the worse. Avoid these trash products so you don’t have to deal with this!

The Ted scale was useful as it charted all my biometrics… until it just won’t connect to server. Tried the solutions listed on the website including resetting network settings on iOS 17.3. Note this problem existed on 17.2 intermittently as well. Now I can weigh myself like a normal scale but nothing else and can’t  even access any of my previous data. I’ve emailed support with no response. Don’t want to delete the app yet as I’ll surely lose the data forever. Not sure if they’ve just shut down the server (like another product, a smart strip I bought from another company).

I’ve had 3 smart LED bulbs for about a year and a half now and they have worked well for what they are. UNTIL RECENTLY, while the software has had its quirks (sometimes doesn’t connect without resetting the app, along with some minor glitches/laggy response) over the last couple weeks I’ve tried to use the app and it just states “failed to connect to server” so none of the schedules or full control works efficiently. I can still manually connect via Bluetooth and control one bulb at a time to change color/brightness but that gets old when you just want to turn on a light.

I have been using the smart bulbs and the app has been finicky since day one. So many bugs that never get fixed. It has gotten so bad that I have deleted and redownloaded the app because I kept getting ‘Failed to connect to server’ frequently while trying to control the bulbs. After redownloading I can’t even sign in due to the same ‘failed to connect to server’ error. Do not use this brand, I’m sure there are plenty of better smart bulbs.
