All the auto reframing it does by default is a little tricky to work with. It just moves too much. But if you turn that off, much easier to use. It also has options to turn off the sound effects if you get annoyed with the “plonk, plonk, plonk” noise for every added block. With a little tweaking of settings, very good voxel editor. Also, its huge that this includes so many export options, like obj, so you can move it to something like blender to work with more, or print your work. ### 4/5 — Great Concept, lots of potential!!! *2017-01-25* Just got into voxel creating, found this app and its much better then the others out there... Problems I have run into are: touchy controls, you can move with your stylus but sometimes you will put a block in the middle of nowhere. Apple Pencil doesn't work to well when it comes to adding blocks. Crashes when you up res something from 1 block to 4 block and so on. Crashes and runs really slow when I had a huge creation that I up scaled to add more detail. I'm on a iPad Pro 9.7 and it had issues with this. Exporting to voxel app on MAC or PC didn't export the whole design, it only exported half, not to sure if that was user error or what... Exporting objects works great cause you can use them for assets in games and so on. Doesn't export in colour though which is sort of a minus. Lots of potential for this slightly expensive app, but it was worth it if you use it with patience... 4 of 5 starts because it still needs work, but I like what it currently has to offer. ### 4/5 — Voxel ha ha *2012-12-16* ;-) ### 4/5 — Pricy... *2012-09-24, version 1.7.3* It really is fun to play and easy-to-use, but to print your voxel it costs a lot more than it really should Which is upsetting ### 3/5 — READ *2012-08-30* This app would be good if you could translate the amount you have to pay into other languages AKA:pounds I will buy a model if you just make the time that it will be delivered in less! To save even a single object you must buy the full in app purchase for £1.49 plus the 69p for this "free" version. Horrible and feels scammy. Deleted. ### 4/5 — Good stuff *2012-06-13* I was looking for a cube modeller and tried a few others on the app- store and found this one to be the best. One thing I found was you pay $3 for the app and then another $2 on the in-app purchase to upgrade it to the pro version which allows you to export the model out in a small variety of formats (via email), - and also adds a rather cumbersome animation feature. Apart from that confusion, the rest is pretty good. The help system should be expanded more, - but I like this app at the end of the day. ### 2/5 — Gut aber Lite *2012-03-07* Die App ist gut durchdacht und wenn man dahinter gekommen ist einfach zu steuern. Bei meinem 3GS freezt die App aber leider ab und zu. Was ich besonders frech finde: man bezahlt Geld und kriegt trotzdem nur eine Lite Version. Für die Vollversion darf man dann nochmal ca. 1,50€ draufhauen. Abzocker ### 5/5 — Nice creative app *2012-02-26* Voxel is a very cool app that although simple on the surface, has some nice features. A fun app for creatives looking for another design tool, this is unique and makes good use of the iPhone's hardware as a basic 3D modelling tool. ### 5/5 — Fun, clever, and useful *2012-01-13* If you've ever played Minecraft you already know how to build art in Voxel -- but there are extra tools to make the process more versatile. I plan to use it for designing sprites (build a single model, take screenshots of it in various rotations, and trace in a vector graphics editor -- or just use the raw voxel image, depending on the application). It's simple and enjoyable to use, and I know of nothing else like it on the App Store. For the price (currently a buck plus another couple bucks to unlock multiple model saves) you can hardly go wrong. It's fun to play around with, but in my case it also promises to be a useful practical tool. ### 5/5 — Gd but use to be free *2012-01-08* I like this game but it use to cost nothing! Not so much it causes a problem but enough to really get on my nerves you know! I wish you would please just contact us if you have a problem, rather than ruining our sales. A small model can be printed for around $10, and you can vary the size of the cubes to adjust the price. I apologize if the app did not perform as you expected. As far as color changes -- simply hold your finger on a color for a second, and a color wheel will pop up allowing you to change it.
