Basically there is hardly any content - dont go in with the intention of mastering gamakas with exercises or getting applications of the gamakas in the ragas in some kritis. There is none of those. Basically it is just introduction to gamakas - mastering gamakas is a misnomer. It doesn’t even show the application of gamakas of a raga in one alankara. And the UI is very annoying. Doesn’t understand the difference between resume and restart, and you can’t play it hands free. Each of the module is 1 or 2 minutes long and you can’t continue with the next module unless you hit continue- otherwise the same module gets repeated. Being premium content (having paid $$ for just one year of subscription) - you would definitely expect much better! ### 2/5 — Not able to access beyond Home Screen *2026-04-01* Issue in accessing content by iPad. I am able to share and play in the app. But group members are facing issue. Wav format is not playable in iPhone. I am receiving 5-10 notifications for one message. I cannot hear voice notes, even my own, I get multiple notifications for the same message, the notification icon does not clear even though I have seen the messages, and it is not showing me messages for which I have received multiple notifications. The idea is to be able to submit singing and get feedback and the audio notes don’t work!! ### 4/5 — More expensive than I thought *2025-01-27, version 8.4.6* It looks like a great learning resource from what I can see, however the prices for courses and bundles are listed in USD - the conversion into my country’s currency was a shock. There is no possibility to cast videos to a TV, staring at a small phone screen isn’t conducive to singing! Courses should also not need to be automatically rebought every year (subscription) - once a person has bought it, they should be able to retain access indefinitely ### 2/5 — Absurdly expensive *2024-03-29, version 8.4.2* Each “course” is $49 and a pack of 3 is $59. Even if that’s for a year, you would complete the modules within a month if your taking your time. She has lot of patience and explains the corrections clearly and tries to get best from your kid. The course bundle with master recording and class recording is a great resource to check while practicing. The trainers are well trained and promptly provide feedback in a very sensitive and mature manner. Over the years, have found it to be intuitive to use, with neat course material, clear explanations and guided learning. I have also had the pleasure of attending curated workshops by esteemed artists which makes one a kid in a candy shop learning from the stalwarts and made it a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience. Most recently I had the pleasure of taking online music live lessons and happy to say, this elevated the learning to a new level. Classes meet on zoom, with a consistent dedicated trainer that is very approachable, knowledgeable and passionate. Love the trainer’s ability to motivate learners of various ages and skills- just the right carrot for the right horse. The ability to access the class recordings on the app and upload practice sessions for review is a breeze. The trainer gives timely feedback and has made learning music a lovely experience. Ample opportunities to ask questions and clear doubts. VoxGuru has shattered yet another glass ceiling making learning music so accessible across the continents, time zones and age groups.
