### 1.40.4 — 2026-08-27

Recording interruptions are now honest and recoverable.

• The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island switch to Paused when another app takes the microphone, and never keep counting audio that was not captured.
• Returning to VoxSpace automatically resumes into a new safe segment.
• Stopping after a resumed recording keeps the complete duration on screen and in the Library.
• Recording starts faster by removing a false startup watchdog restart.
• Revoked sessions recover automatically, including Library streaming, downloads, mind maps, and AI posters.
• Pause reminders and recording status are clearer.

A large update since 1.19.0, focused on never losing a recording and making the whole app feel like it means it.

Recording reliability
• Recording survives phone calls, another app grabbing the microphone, and switching between speaker, headphones or Bluetooth. It continues in a new segment and still finishes as one recording.
• Audio left behind by a force quit is recovered, including files whose index or packet table was never written.
• If the system takes a recording away, the app now says so instead of losing it silently, and shows how many times it was interrupted and how many parts it has.
• A new capture mode setting lets you pick voice-processed, raw, or raw with a high-pass filter for different rooms and mics.

Recording screen, Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
• Waveforms are now driven by real audio instead of a simulated animation.
• Redesigned Lock Screen and Dynamic Island recording card. The timer no longer freezes after an interruption, and the duration counts recorded audio only.
• A force quit no longer leaves a Lock Screen card that cannot be dismissed.

Playback and reading
• Library audio now streams, so it starts faster. Fixed a crash and silent playback when restarting audio.
• New recording timeline with the transcript highlighting in sync with playback, plus a collapsible mind-map view of the summary that seeks the audio when you tap a node.
• On-device fallback mind map when the server did not build one, so structure is always visible.
• Share the audio, transcript, and AI summary from a session.
• Browse and switch between earlier AI summary versions, and regenerate a summary from your phone.
• Recordings with no speech are now clearly labelled instead of showing a permanent Processing state.

Library and workspaces
• Session collections: create and reorder them on your phone, and find them in the default library view. Rows are labelled with the collections they belong to.
• Library is scoped to the selected workspace, and the picker names the workspace you are in.
• The workspace scope is remembered per server across cold launches.
• Search and AI-status filter surfaced in the library, matching the web reader.
• Local recordings can now be deleted, and multi-select selection circles no longer disappear while selecting.

Simplified Chinese
• Many screens that were still English are now translated: the whole add-server and device-binding flow, server management, recording details, upload status, structured summary headings, library states, and failure messages.

Small things
• Copy, tips, and empty states across recording, library and settings are refreshed. A Settings help page now covers other-app microphone interruptions.
