If you need a real vocoder, don’t buy this one. ### 1/5 — Doesn't work for loopy pro *2024-02-20* I bought this to use in loopy pro. Put it on as an effect for a channel and when I put it on the channel it mutes all channels and no audio comes through. Put it on a pre recorded channel and it shows audio but again mutes all audio. If you could assist me I would change my review. Seems like a cool concept if it worked. ### 1/5 — Auv3 and inter app audio not work??? *2023-07-29* Hello I would like help with my purchase of VoxSyn pro I have a brand new iPad and I have to use head phones with a mic for the vocoder to work.The app is not working as inter app audio or as a auv3 also making the app unusable I would like some help to fix this ### 1/5 — Does not work - unacceptable audio quality *2022-06-17, version 2.1.0* The voice audio quality is terrible, it’s all distorted and cannot be fixed within the app settings. The app should be removed from the App Store or updated asap to make it work as expected ### 1/5 — Only good if you don’t mind static *2020-09-09* After adjusting every setting I can think of, swapping out a few different microphones, and scouring the web for support, I’ve come to the conclusion that this app just doesn’t work. The output of this vocoder is so distorted that it’s unusable. I can’t find any way to get a good, clear vocoder sound. The audio clipping is terrible, every input sounds as if the mic is in your mouth and the gain is all the way up. Maybe you’ll have better luck, but this was pretty disappointing for me. ### 1/5 — Crackle noise *2020-03-18, version 2.0.2* Sorry but your support from the application does not work, so I write here, noise and crackle on all presets in this application and the same in the simple VoxSyn ipad Air 3 iphone xs max ios 13.3.1 ### 1/5 — It’s a bit of a waste of money. *2019-12-14* This only cost me two quid because I already had the original version which doesn’t work as an AUV3 and this one doesn’t seem to do much. It loads into both AUM and the Audiobus3 fx slots but that’s all it seems to do and I can’t hear any audio coming through it. Very disappointing. ### 3/5 — Have to find work arounds *2025-03-02* I previously rated this as one star as it wasn’t appearing for me in inter-app audio or as an AUv3. Amending my review to 3 stars as I found that the AUv3 version only appears in the effects channel slots for AUM. I expected this to function in the instrument, slot, but it only functions as an effect for source channels like a microphone. Stand alone still doesn’t work for me, I really only get a lot of static over a seemingly dry signal. Mostly I’m annoyed that when I reached out to the developer I heard nothing back. Wish the support was better as there aren’t many online guides out there for this app. ## Most praised reviews (5 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Another Virsyn Winner *2020-10-29* This company keeps cranking out super duper apps with great interfaces that are as consistent as possible. So many apps by other developers are impossibly complicated for no benefit. Virsyn makes deep apps that are relatively easy to use and similar features have similar interfaces across apps. Isn't the idea to make music smoothly without being constantly confused? Virsyn apps are the best. Hey, if you have a problem with an app, send an email to the developer instead of giving an undeserved bad review. I see reviews that say the app is fantastic but give 2 stars because of the color of the knobs or a small bug that happens rarely. Reviews are to tell others about how good the app is, not to communicate with the developer. Use email to communicate. You can't get a proper answer in a review. Come on, think. ### 5/5 — It worked well at the beginning *2020-04-27, version 2.0.2* Having issues using ONLY headphones with lighting jack. The audio should be fixed. I tried other apps/vocoders and my voice with fx was clean. I thought that was distortion. I turned it off but the issue remains. I tried uninstalling it e download it again. Nada. Standalone mode does not work (ios 16.6.1). In the AUM application, the program seems to work, but it does not fit in the iPhone screen in full-screen mode.
