A very basic app. Something that is important in the limelight, and can keep track of your adventures. The free parts of the app is enough to fulfill your needs, but if you pay extra, you will have access to a whole bunch of new, and different maps, heritage sites, etc. App is not glitchy, opens as soon as you click, and is easy to add new countries, or take away country’s from your list. It also tally’s up the number of countries you have been to, as well as organize them in all sorts of ways. However, they could’ve moved some parts of the app that costed money to the free zone. Rating: 9.4/10 ### 2/5 — Only 1 favorite country even with paid version *2022-10-11* Bought the paid version because it says it unlocks all the country maps but it still only allows you to have one favorite country. **Developer response:** Hello, you unlock all maps if you buy the pro version. Just touch the country in the main list and you can add the regions for every country. The favorite one is just to make it easier to see your favorite country, but all maps are indeed unlocked. Doesn’t list all the countries. As someone who enjoys country counting it’s pretty useless if it’s not counting. There’s better, apps out there. In the options, you can add territories and a few unrecognized countries to be also counted as “countries”. Even if Taiwan is turned of as a disputed territory, it is still not shown up as part of China in the world map as it used to be. I respect freedom of speech, but I think such a major change should be listed in the details of the update. Why not? It is obviously not a bug or improvement. Are you guys afraid of anything?? Thanks ### 1/5 — Deceptive Description *2019-10-26* The app description says "mark on the map countries you have visited, select the regions..." What it doesn't say is to select the regions you have to pay $5 for the Pro version. "Read the descriptions" - cue link to a wikipedia page about that country . "...how many World Heritage Sites you had the chance to visit..." Again, this is only in the Pro version. The information at the bottom of the description talks about some items available only with the Pro Version implying everything else is free and just those items are at an additional cost. I have no issue paying for additional features within apps but I do have a problem with being provided with misleading information about what you do and don't receive in an app. **Developer response:** We are sorry you found the description deceptive, but it is explicitly said what features are not available in the free version. The description of the app reads: “Fea­tures like ad­di­tio­nal coun­try maps, World He­ri­tages Sites and ad­ding more than 5 trips are avai­lable only in the Pro Ver­sion that needs to be pur­cha­sed se­pa­ra­te­ly. While the U.K. is formed by 4 constitutive countries, it is a single sovereign country. We will nevertheless add the option to consider the 4 constitutive counties separately, but you can already select them in the detail map of the U.K. ### 1/5 — Inaccurate *2019-01-31, version 1.7* It highlighted Greenland, even though it wasn’t checked...and in fact not even on the the list! Also, no Antarctica. ### 1/5 — Simplistic *2018-12-13* I don’t get this app! It took me 5 minutes to check off the countries I visited. For $3.99 I got the pro version and the only added feature allowed me to add World Heritage Sites. This and all travel maps would be more interesting if there were interactive features like cities, notes on what you liked, favorite hotels, sites or restaurants, printing maps, 3D and portability to a art function so I can print the world in other forms. Come on guys. I’d be happy to pay for it, but I’d love a feature where I can add several photos from countries I’ve visited and make notes. Thanks so much for making this amazing app better! Updates: thank you so much for solving the issue for Jamaica. There are several ideas for you to consider: 1- I still think the British Crown Dependencies should be separated from UK, just like the other British territories. Please consider adding them three (or at least give users an option to activate/deactivate them in the countries and territories section). 2- I noticed that Aruba and Curaçao are categorized to South America, while I agree that they are geographically located in South America, traditionally they are treated as part of North America. Please consider to move them to North America to be consistent with Trinidad and Tobago (also located in South but is now categorized as North America country). 3- Is it possible for you to add Bonaire, Saba, and Sint Eustatius? I understand they don’t possess the same status as Aruba and Curaçao, but still love to see them in the collection. **Developer response:** Hello, The Jamaica bug should have been fixed. I just did an 8 country trip and tried to add the countries. I forgot how to use it 🤣. (The + sign was behind another icon on my devise) I wrote to the developer and I had a response straight away located the + and added the countries . All the functionality is very clear and easy to use. You can change the countries you visit to include Dependant Territories and Observer States in line with the UN classification you wish to follow. The inclusion of World Heritage Sites is also a bonus. I wish I had found this app sooner. ### 5/5 — A Literal Life Changer *2023-08-09, version 3.0* I cannot even say how long I have been looking for an app like this. I was just talking with my wife about how it is so hard to remember everywhere we have travelled throughout our marriage. When friends ask where we been I want to be able to pull out a map and show them. Finally, I have what I am looking for. The app is clean, simple, and efficient. I showed it recent to one of my kids and he was super impressed too and said he would tell his friends about it (you know all of the kids seem to love travelling today). All in all I am just super happy to have an app like this for my Mac and I hope we see plenty of updates and continued devlelopment in the future!! In that sense, the app is excellent, with a clear map that will color all countries selected from the list. The flag feature is very attractive and useful as well, and the app is easy to use. Moreover, there are even deeper layers of facts and knowledge to be acquired from this app…the intelligence behind it is profound, offering information about what are autonomous territories, states/provinces of countries, what does and does not constitute an independent country. I started off with this app intending to be a show-off, and then found it to be immensely satisfying and helpful for my deep interest in geography.
