Most servers are now working again in China, which is really encouraging and shows active maintenance from the team. At the moment, there are still two CN2 servers that fail to connect on iOS. If these two servers can also be fixed and become accessible via the iOS app, I would be genuinely excited. Other features are just ok, no native WireGuard in the app, a little slow to connect and currently the UI is broken which makes it feel like it is not maintained. What else is not maintained? Just keeps trying to reload over and over and over again. This app has not been updated in 4 years according to Apple App Store. I’ll have to find another VPN. Too bad I can’t get my money back. ### 2/5 — US servers are f'ed *2022-03-12* Servers in the US have been failing a lot for months now. I frequently have to use servers from other countries and have recently had to resort to disconnecting the vpn entirely for a while. Their secure proxy on PCs has been causing a lot of problems as well and I've stopped using it. The desktop client still works for the most part but that is it. Everything other than the desktop client is unreliable and frustrating. If you need a VPN to access sites that ISPs governments want to block, DO NOT use this. The VPN will be blocked before you are even able to connect. I contacted customer support detailing my issue and a snarky representative named Alex F. told me that they never claimed to be a stealth VPN, and that trying to access restricted content is a bad idea. Their website implies that they can get around the Great Firewall of China, but in reality they can’t get around basic business firewalls. ### 1/5 — App does not work on iOS 13 *2020-02-28, version 2.2* You’re app is not able to connect to any server in China. Every single one of them except vpn.ac let me choose the port and protocol. vpn.ac have this feature on the windows client but not on The iOS app. ### 1/5 — IOS13 ? *2019-10-23, version 2.2* Since I’m using the iPhone 11 Pro with IOS13, then updated to IOS13.1 it doesn’t work properly, connecting but the bandwidth seems REALLY slow or absent (using different servers across Europe) UPDATE : Tried EVERYTHING. With support etc. Not working It was working perfectly on IOS 12 with iPhone XS Previous rating : Please keep the app as fast as it is ! Simple app but fully working with all the options. For the last three weeks the only locations that occasionally work are Taiwan and Hong Kong (and those rarely). It is affecting my ability to use many apps and my e-mail. So, if you are living in China, this vpn probably isn’t worth your trouble. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-05-12* Doesn’t work on Iphone. I also use ProtonVPN because Im a premium member but over the last few months feel they have become far to unreliable. I always come back to VPN.ac and Im always more than satisfied. From now on I will be sticking with them for my VPN needs. ### 5/5 — Working Quite Well *2019-02-15, version 2.2* Great app to get over the GFW, tho some servers are a bit slower, but that’s to be expected. Only thing is the iOS auto disconnect VPN (maybe WiFi?) when locked so is a bit less convenient to have to unlock the phone and wait a bit for the VPN to reconnect, and sometimes it might take a couple tries or switch phone’s network connections (WiFi to data or vice versa).
