In their policy they are supposed to help you find a place if it’s within 24 hours of your rental. We called and they were not helpful saying they couldn’t use the internet. So we were just left without a place trying to find one that would accept us later that day. The home was in great condition. Clean. Nice dishes, pots, pans, knives, bar ware, table ware. So often you find things broken or inn poor condition. Not the case here. The beds were comfy. The tables were great for family dinners and gaming. And we loved the back deck. But when checking out Vrbo says there will be a 5% fee. But after checking out I had a much larger charge. After talking to customer support they actually charge 10% with a bunch of hidden fees. It’s not in any receipts sent to my email or in my account. The AI bot is sending me in circles and won’t connect me with an agent. Airbnb sends me a proper receipt as well as other places. We have used their platform to rent out our vacation home since 2017 and the functionality of the app has slowly become a nightmare. GOD FORBID you book a house that was left dirty from the previous guests, the pictures showing off the property and pool look nothing to what it actually looked like in person, because if you do then say goodbye to your money. The customer service for this app genuinely could care less about the us the customers. They will be hearing from a State Consumer Protection agency very soon.
