Vehicle arrived with a completely shot battery. Vroom agreed to reimburse me for a battery. Purchased battery, submitted receipt, was told 7-10 business days before I would receive a check. Once the car was running, other undisclosed issues were discovered. Vroom again agreed to cover the repair costs. Take the car in for service and their payment never went through. Every service rep I’ve spoken to has provided different information and not a single piece of it has been true. I ended up paying for the repairs out of my own pocket when I have in writing they would cover them. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Do research, they are being sued in Texas for their horrible business practices. ### 1/5 — I don’t recommend them, bad experience throughout. *2022-11-02, version 2.2.3* I bought a car from Vroom and it has been a bad experience from the beginning. First, they were having issues with the online payment system and I had to send a wire transfer that ended up being more expensive, then it took months to get the license plate and since we couldn’t get a temporary one because we exhausted the amount of temporary plates they had to rent us a car. Next, they told us the car had new tires, however one of the tires started having issues so we took it to the tire shop and they told us that the tire had an old repair that was leaking, so they definitely weren’t new and now, it’s been 8 months and we’ve had to take the car to the repair shop more than 4 times for different issues. I don’t recommend them. Save yourselves many headaches. ### 1/5 — Registration *2022-09-30, version 2.2.1* I have been waiting over a year for registration/license plates for car!!! First they delivered a car side swiped !! Then they exchanged it for a car that had no title and just could not be registered period for some reason !! So now they finally exchanged car for one with registration. I know cause it was sent to me with all the purchase paperwork and I signed it and sent it back. Now this is end of communication by Vroom and they will just avoid you for how ever long it takes till you sue them I guess. Apparently that’s the only way to get the deal finalized and get a license plate ! My temp plates have been expired for going on 3 months with no call or attempt by them to even get permanent license plants or even get a extension on temporary license plates. So before anyone buys from Vroom just know you will be ignored and blown off once car is delivered if you even get what’s advertised!! ### 1/5 — DO NOT USE VROOM!!!!! *2022-09-15, version 2.1.2* I bought a car in march, the next day the battery died and I had to buy a new one (which they did reimburse me for). It broke down a month later in April and they declined to fix the car because there was so many things wrong with it and all the parts could not be covered. My car was not picked up from Volkswagen until the beginning of this month of September. They have told me they would send me my down payment back through check and everytime I talk to a vroom associate they have a different story to tell me. I have had MULTIPLE cases opened and THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO SEND ME MY MONEY BACK. I wish I would have listened to the reviews and never went through vroom. Because of them, I will NEVER buy a car online again ! ### 5/5 — 2nd vehicle purchase through this great company *2022-08-01, version 2.1.2* Hello everyone I have for the 2nd time purchased a vehicle through vroom and the service is quick and fast with no middle man to bargain for you. Just pick out the vehicle your interested in and go on a fast process from there!!! I’ll be like a kid in a candy store again once I receive my new vehicle I’ve purchased with this great company. The vehicles go through a top notch inspection and is very well maintained and maintenanced before it arrives to you so jump aboard and find your next vehicle through vroom and I promise you will definitely not be disappointed with the service or your purchase 💯👍🏾😎 ### 4/5 — Not any issues personally *2022-07-31, version 2.1.2* I got my car from here and was nervous at first but honestly had no issues. I was confused with the tag at first, So vroom sends the paper work and then you have to wait for the DMV to send you you property tax papers (this is North Carolina) and after I paid it basically the next day I had my plate and they car had no issues. I have 4 because I did try to call customer service because it took a month and vroom was spamming me with pay your property tax and email so I call and he told me “we don’t know, why don’t you just google it” but other than that it was fine. ### 4/5 — So far so good *2022-06-21, version 2.1.1* I’ve heard of Vroom but never really gave them much thought, till now. I stumbled upon them them last night and was browsing their cars and was quiet impressed by their selections and prices. I’ve been looking at Carmax and had somewhat of an unpleasant experience with Carvana, so decided to check out Vroom. I actually purchased a car with carmax but am under my 30 day return policy and really like the car and terms with vroom so am going forward with my purchase. Let’s see how the rest of my experience is going to be, but so far it’s been pretty good. The customer service is a little slow compared to others I’ve noticed but every company has its pitfalls I suppose. ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY FROM VROOM! *2022-06-14, version 2.1.1* I can name a long list of issues I had with them from purchasing to having my car now. I got my car December 17th 2021 and I had to call at least 20 times to finally get my car registered the process was horrible! Then to add on I had the car under 6 months, about 4 months in I noticed I had a weird feeling when driving it. I took it to a dealership because I purchased their “platinum protection package” which is garbage also, just to be told my total cost is $3400 and the warranty would only cover $300! Vroom delivered me a car with uneven size tires and I have a 4-Wheel drive jeep and it is causing my PTO system to fail. I spoke with a Vroom senior manager who said because it’s been past 7 days they would do nothing not even try to cover the repair partially or anything even though they are the ones who gave me a vehicle with different size tires. I have altered nothing on the vehicle other than normal maintenance and their senior manager said she will not cover it. The dealership even informed them this wouldn’t have shown as a issue until the car is driven for some time meaning I wouldn’t have seen this issue in 7 days! Long story short the whole company is a scam and I would never buy from them again nor would I recommend anyone else to! ### 1/5 — Available never *2022-05-31, version 2.1.1* If you are looking at a specific car you want and it says “available soon” chances are you are going to be waiting decades. I seen a car with all my specifications and it was still “available soon” 3 months later. The employees have no information whatsoever on the time it will be available either. They are just as lost as you are. Not to mention the amount of time you will have to wait for processing and delivery. If you want a summer or winter vehicle specifically chances are you will be able to use it for it’s intended purpose the next winter or summer after the one you want it for. If I didn’t know any better the vehicle is probably available, they are just holding off to see how many views and likes it gets to adjust the price based on demand for said vehicle. ### 1/5 — Shady *2022-05-21, version 2.1.1* Wow. No wonder there are so many terrible reviews. What an unbelievably shady company. The company can’t even provide an app that functions properly when someone is attempting to purchase a $50k+ vehicle with full payment. When their employee called to follow up on my questions, the number gives a spam alert. Felt like I was being phished. The employee pushed for me to wire money rather than use a payment method with built in consumer protection. Felt like I was being fleeced so I insisted on using something like an ACH or Plaid so I at least have some reversal protection. Yet the Vroom “pay” button for online transactions doesn’t function, so the employee says that means I have to wire the payment.. to which I am more and more uncomfortable. Next, I receive an email that my iCloud account that warned it couldn’t be verified as from Vroom, which again provided wiring instructions. The whole thing felt like a shakedown. The purchase agreement Vroom generated didn’t even have the right name on it. When I asked for my deposit back, I received no response.
