After which the feature for auto shut-off when the mug is empty was disabled. Now everytime I turn the mug on I have to connect it with my phone to get it to keep temperature whereas it was automatic before. It now also randomly vibrates without any of the buttons being touched. It worked for 7 days and went totally dead. Tried to upload the app and it looked as if it was a virus on my phone. The app started blinking continuously. Very disappointing. The mug itself started vibrating on its own, and the temperature lights on the mug were flashing. I turned the mug off and turned it back on. That stopped it for a while, but it came back. Even though update said it fixes this problem. ### 1/5 — Poor user experience *2025-12-07, version 1.0.139* I know this is half the price of the Ember mug, but ultimately you get what you pay for. There are several issues with this product. Number one, the app user experience is extremely poor. It constantly disconnects from your mug, which means you have to re-pair the mug with your app every single time. There’s no user manual in the app, so I don’t even know how to pair it sometimes; it’s hit or miss. I think you just press the button for two seconds or something, but the Bluetooth connection is very inconsistent. Number two, the battery lasts less than two hours at 145°F - more like 1.5 hours, so you’re only getting about 30 more minutes compared to the Ember mug. Additionally, the app doesn’t allow you to preset the temperature; every time you close the app, it defaults back to the manufacturer’s preset. The charger plate is quite big compared to the Ember mug too - kind of bulky. I will be returning this mug. I am very disappointed. Yes, it is half the price of the Ember mug, but I would gladly pay more for a more premium feel, a better app, and a more consistent user experience. The frustration with this mug and the app is not worth saving $50. ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-10-26, version 1.0.136* App never send Captcha to email. It leaves much to be desired. I too had pairing issues after my power went out. Tried all day to “discover” my device with no avail. With the app open in device discovery mode…. while holding the peer button down… I tapped “rescan” and wallah! I can now keep my coffee hot again. I should have never had to try and figure that out on my own. I searched all their support sites… texted them in the app… and tried messaging them in the app. NEVER got any response or reply back.
