My daughter sent me link to download to chat with my grandson, but I can’t create an account. I submit the form, it keeps redirecting me to submit a code but code won’t work. Constantly asking for authorization and then won’t authorize. Give it some time and it starts working again for a while. We have two of them since I have twins and there has been probably 1 hour where both of these things have worked. I will receive the push notifications when my child sends me a message but the app CRASHES EVERY TIME I try to open it. It’s very irritating and frustrating but I would be severely P!$$€D if this would be the only option for my child to contact me incase of an emergency. I don’t get me wrong the idea of the product is great, but that’s all it is, just an idea. The actual application is an absolute a failure, the app’s functionality is SUPER glitchy and unreliable. To the people who created this, PLEASE fix these issues. I check everyday to see if the app will open and it just keeps crashing. People spend good money on this product and for it to not even work is a huge disappointment. The KidiConnect has been working for me for a few years on my iPhone, now I can no longer log in? It just spins on the log in screen. I reset my password and still have the same issue, it will spin and spin until finally throwing an error code. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2021-01-09, version 1.16.3207* This is by far the the most useless app ever. I paid 80 buck the the device but then when you create a account you have to confirm with the code they send to your email that I have yet to receive. I have tried 7 times and even reinstalled the app to see if that helps and still 2 days later still waiting on that code. Then I emailed the website with still no response. Either send the code or delete your app and give people their money back. It goes with the kidibuzz phones which my children got for Christmas which are also so bad as to be barely usable. Here are the issues we have experienced in the past 10 days using this app with the vtech phones and our iPhones. 1. This app kept showing a loading spinning sign that took hours before we could sign up 2. I will send messages to my daughters phone and she doesn’t always get them. (Yes we are connected to WiFi so it isn’t user error) 3. The servers were down for 4 days- no communication from the app service- it would have been at least decent customer service if we would have received an email share they were going to be down or would be back up in x amount of days. After googling the issue it looks like they go down for weeks at a time. 4. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and we haven’t had any real issues with the app. It’s made by v-tech (as opposed to apple or google) so we weren’t expecting that level of technical ability with this app (no offense!). Daughter is able to send and receive messages. I was able to easily add my sister to the app so daughter could connect with her Auntie & it’s been working great. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because it’s a little slow in receiving/sending and I have to exit the chat and re-enter to see a new message instead of having the new message appear in the chat I’m in. Also, I’m not able to communicate with contacts added to daughter’s phone unless I add that person to “our family” but we wanted the group “ our family” to just be mom, dad and daughter. Also, one thing to suggest for others, when you sign up, set it up so that it automatically signs you in. I’ve noticed I have gotten kicked out a couple of times but it just automatically signs me in again. It only updates when it’s fully charged so open it up and plug in right away and do the update when fully charged. Plan half a day for this process. I hope the developers keep updating because it seems limited and dated as far as functionality.
