## What is VTT Companion?

VTT Companion is a mobile application designed to enhance your D&D5e experience with Foundry VTT while keeping the load on your device minimal.

It provides an optimised interface for accessing your character sheets, spells, and items on your phone or tablet, allowing you to stay engaged in the game without needing to switch to a desktop interface.

It relies on a Foundry VTT module, the "Companion Bridge", to connect to your game and provide real-time updates to your character sheets, and interactions with your spells and items.

The "Companion Bridge" module is installed on your Foundry VTT server. It acts as a bridge between the server and the mobile app, enabling real-time synchronisation. The module is available in both free and premium versions, offering different levels of functionality and integration with Foundry VTT.
With the free version, all connected players can view their stats, inventory, and spells as they change in Foundry. Players can also change the local state of their character (HP, spell slots, exhaustion, ...), however, it does not include the possibility to send changes to Foundry, cast spells, use items, etc.
The premium version unlocks full two-way updates, rest mechanisms, complete roll integration, items, features, and spells usage, and so much more! It also helps us continue developing, maintaining the app and adding new features.

### 1.0.9 — 2026-07-25

This version fixes some connection issues and add currency in bags:
*Currency stored in bags, pouches, and other containers is now properly supported and displayed. Additionally, modifying currency amount (whether in main inventory or in a container) will now properly update the actor's currency.
*Connecting to Foundry via http was not working properly for some iOS devices. This has been fixed, and the app now properly connects to Foundry via http on iOS (both on local network and over internet).
