## What is VUER?

VUER is an iOS application that allows you to monitor and analyze up to 4 Teradek encoder video feeds in real-time, all in 1080p HD. With a built-in histogram, false color, focus peaking, waveform monitor and vectorscope, digging into the details of your video streams has never been easier.

TOOL BUTTONS PAGE 1:

HISTOGRAM -Adjust display mode (fullscreen, overlay, top and bottom), type of chart (luminance, RGB Parade, RGB Overlay), Opacity, Position and Size

WAVEFORM–Adjust display mode (fullscreen, overlay, top and bottom), type of chart (luminance, RGB Parade, RGB Overlay), Intensity, Opacity, Position and Size

VECTORSCOPE–Adjust display mode (fullscreen, overlay, top and bottom), type of chart (Cr/Cb or H/S), Intensity, Opacity, Overlay Position, and Overlay Size

FALSE COLOR– Select a Full-range IRE Guide or a Discrete guide (similar to ARRI or RED camera false color guides), enable IRE Guide overlay for reference on-screen

PEAKING–adjust peaking threshold

FOCUS ASSIST–focus assist color and intensity

FRAMELINES–Adjust 2 sets of preset or custom aspect ratio created with a simple function (x:x), Frameline Color, Center mark, Surround Mask opacity, and Safe Zone %

FRAME GRAB–Naming Prefix, File naming (name each grab manually or use prefix setting, Manage grabs (Shortcut to framegrab manager thumbnail library)

FRAME COMPARE–Overlay Image selection, Blend Mode selection ( interpolate, difference, screen, exclusion and geometric), Alpha % blend slider

DISTORT–select Anamorphic Desqueeze aspect ratio (1:1, 1.33:1, 1.5:1, 1.78:1, 2:1 or Custom), Flip and / or Mirror function

MAGNIFY–Magnifier Size (Small, Medium or Large), Magnifier Outline Color ( white, red, blue, yellow, green or no outline)

This VUER update has rendered my $6,000 Teradek set up useless. Vuer app does not find devices but does see the network.  I hit contact support on the App Store and it leads to a dead link. Does not inspire confidence. Please fix this. My serv pros are currently bricked.

Hello,

App is great,but i have one problem. I linked 2 Serv Pro-s with my link. When i launch app and go to camera option, i see 2 cameras and i see them working. When i load them to A and B,or when i add those 2 to quad stream, I only see picture from one Serv,while on other stream it sais Loading...
Anyone had same problem?

The app worked well a few weeks ago, but ever since I upgraded the OS on my iPad mini to OS14, it crashes constantly.

**Developer response:** Please upgrade the app. Apple had changed some things about local network devices, which we fixed in the latest version of the app.

This is a great software which works easily with the Teradek Serv Pro. The big shortcoming and I do mean big, is that the software doesn’t not work on desktop computers. All script supervisors use laptops on set and the ability to stream to their computers is of extreme importance. Until this gets solved, this app is only half of what it needs to be.

Extending VUER's abilities to allow the iPhones built-in camera to be an input device (to record video or stills), VUER would be one of the best camera apps, hands down, for professionals.
Please consider.

Everything about the Serv pro and Vuer app is as it should be. With one exception - recording/playback. Why can’t the record flag from my camera be sent to the phone or iPad and trigger a local recording on that device (any any others also viewing the stream if they choose). Playback could then be initiated from an selection of thumbnails, bonus points if it used the photos app playback UI with the scrolling timeline.  Modern iOS devices have more than enough horsepower and dedicated hevc hardware that I don’t understand why this isn’t a feature. Until it is I will have to continue to see directors and the like recording on set monitors with their phone cameras for personal playback.

This app is extremely useful and functional in a high production film / video production environment giving a variety of indispensable on-set tools. It's lightweight, easy, and way more powerful than one would expect - really hoping they add a 'record to local memory' for convenient and fast playback of takes, or for rapid content creation for platforms like "Instagram"
