The live view helps with training remotely when I can’t be there in person. It’s really difficult to describe how it works in words here so I just encourage you to download it and use it. The ability to mark up the real world in a digital screen and make that markup persistent is mind bending. I work for a large semiconductor manufacturer in the Bay Area and when issues regularly arise in the field, having remote assistance allows us to tackle those issues quickly, regardless of where my users, experts, suppliers or support teams are located. 3rd. They made huge improvements to stability and initial flaws. 4th: Requires Zero training! What’s the point of even offering downloads if new users can’t create accounts? Total waste of time. It should’ve been clearly stated up front that it’s being retired—don’t advertise something that’s basically already dead. ### 1/5 — Annoying *2020-09-25, version 3.5.1* Trying to host a session just gives a message to contact your admin with no information on how to do this. Website has zero pricing information and wants you to contact them which is almost certainly going to then involve pushy sales calls. Would be happy to pay a few quid a month for this but they appear to be a typical greedy enterprise. Not for the single consumer at all and difficult to work out how to do anything Avoid like the plague... ### 1/5 — Do not Install it, it does not let you test. *2020-05-03* After singing up with way much personal information than any other app requires to sign up it will not let you even test the app. Wasted my time. It is a business app that you need to contact them to let to let you test there app. They will require you email first and last name and phone number to register you for nothing. ### 1/5 — Took the bait *2020-04-07* Downloaded the app and provided my Email and phone number only to find out it requires a license to even get started that costs about $200 yr. per user. Can not even evaluate the product before they want your credit card information. Feel like I am in a Phishing scam that is going to sell my information to one of those erectile disfunction pill venders 30 minutes of my life I will never get back **Developer response:** Hi -- I'm sorry to read about your experience. We do not support credit cards at all - so we're unclear where you are encountering it. You are welcome to use Chalk for free and it does not require a license to start or use. The only information that is required to start and try is your Name and a valid Email Address - which is no different than other Mobile apps in the market. ❤️ The Chalk Team ### 1/5 — Great Idea, Poor implementation *2019-08-23, version 2.6.4* This app has the potential to create a great immersive experience for its users, but unfortunately in this version that I've tried, it didn't deliver what it supposed to do(at least in my experience the app couldn't even maintain a stable connection). Maybe future versions will do better and hopefully I'll be able to use it and recommend it to others. ### 1/5 — iPad support is ... lazy! *2019-01-28* I am sure this app is fine, but how in the world can the developer provide it on iPad without supporting landscape mode. It Gives me the message that my connection is poor. However, when I use FaceTime the video is perfect. Also the sign up process is poorly implemented. It cannot account for larger font size and the screen cannot be scrolled down so that you can hit Done. So einfach kann das Sein Objekte im Videostream anderer zu markieren. Nach dem öffnen sehe ich für ca. 10sekunden das Chalk Logo, danach schließt die App direkt wieder. I got accurate cooking directions remotely from my wife in the current lockdown situation. My neighbor found this to be a blessing who had to recently convert his in-person musical instruments training classes to remote ones due to Covid-19 and he found it very easy and super cool to give directions to his students remotely using the markup features of this app that stick to the remote instruments in a shared live learning session.
