This App is a simplistic playback client for TV and Radio streams served by Enigma2 based set-top-boxes (STB) using the OpenWebIF web service running on the STB. Just enter the IP-Address and the port number of your Enigma2-based TV receiver and start watching Live-TV-Streams or Recordings stored on the STB. This App supports use of multiple Bouquets with TV and Radio services and multiple locations with recordings on the STB. With the upper HUD (Swipe Down during playback) you can select the audio channel and activate subtitles. The bottom HUD (Swipe Up during playback) enables zapping through LiveTV streams. During playback of recordings you can pause or use fast forward playback, which is limited because of using an HTTP connection for streaming. Enigma2 is a Linux based Open Source operating system widely used in receivers for satellite or cable TV. The App does not require file sharing (like SMB, FTP, NFS) enabled on the box. It only uses OpenWebIF via HTTP to read the Bouquets with your favorite TV stations and their current EPG information. Same applies for showing all the recordings you made on the STB. HTTPS for accessing OpenWebIF is not yet supported. FTP is used to backup some App data. This App is using VLCKit, licensed with its LGPLv2 license. VLC and VLCKit is a trademark of videolan.org. One swipe and you're at the end of 3h recording - after checking again skipping 1 min. back and forward works, but only with Siri remote and only by taping edge of the trackpad area and only when tap is selected in setting. Hard press and tapping does nothing in Siri remote (when tap gestures are off in settings) - in iOS app skipping doesn't work at all. When starting playback, the app ran into a timeout stopped playback and retried. Timeout duration is not longer and with each attempt it gets increased by 50%. This should be sufficient for most DVB receivers. In case you use transcoded streams, you can enable "remote connection" in the settings, which will just increase the timeouts for communication. ### 1.4.3 — 2023-04-24 Hotfix for problems with remote connections ### 1.4.2 — 2023-04-16 - fixed an issue with PIcons not getting loaded from STBs with older versions of OpenWebIF - fixed an issue with matching EPG-Data to some services - fixed an issue with outdated EPG-Data not being updated - fixed an issue with playback not starting correctly. In case Live-TV streams "end", playback window gets closed after a few retries - new feature: "Clear Cache" in Settings: This will disconnect from the STB, clear all cached files (incl. PIcons) and then re-connect to the STB. Especially useful when PIcons are not shown correctly. Refreshing the cached data may take a few minutes. I start to work on a major upgrade of the App with several new features. I am open for suggestions.
