### 4/5 — Hai ingoiato un dizionario?

*2024-02-03*

I really like the range of verbs available. I might end up ‘talking like a dictionary’, but it’s good for comprehension to be exposed to so many synonyms and obscure terms. If there was an option to focus on core/essential verbs (to be, to have, etc.) that would be good for a beginner. Most people starting the language (and potentially downloading an app) aren’t going to get past A2.

Vurbit is challenging and meaty, more at the B3/C1 level. Multiple choice can seem easy once you get the hang of it. The user just needs to know what a noi/voi/loro ending would look like and choose the most similar-looking option. The typing test is much more challenging, with an unexpected change in stem often throwing a spanner in the works. But overall, it’s a good exercise in working out how to conjugate Italian verbs.

Longer term, would it be possible to have a multiple choice spot quiz jumbling up several different tenses (so the user has to work out if it is present, conditional or future, etc.) together with different subject pronouns? I tried to do this for myself, but my programming skills are limited to ‘Basic’ from the 1980s (shoutout to the Sinclair Spectrum).

I’m enjoying the app and, when there was a minor bug, the developer fixed it rapidly.

### 5/5 — Helpful

A quick grammar reinforcement and vocabulary builder. Quick look up or a deep study for memorizing.

### 5/5 — My go-to app for Italian verbs

*2025-10-28*

I have a couple other apps that have Italian verbs, but this is the one I find myself using. I love its completeness, good layout, and the fact that I can hear the pronunciation in all the tenses.
