Then it stopped working. Tried to plug it out and plug it in. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the app, but the location is only showing on 1 direction. ### 2/5 — No monthly fee! GIMMIE MY ANNUAL FEE!!! *2022-01-07, version 72* The website clearly states in big letters no monthly fee. What they don’t tell you about is the annual fee otherwise your device gets bricked. That’s something you should know before you buy one. Now when I try to log in, the wheel spins until it times out. It always takes you to help and you can’t close the need help button. But there is no way to change the date range that you are looking at. ### 3/5 — System freezes *2020-11-07, version 65* When it works it is really great. I have two and they will freeze the location sometime. It usually happens between 7:pm and 11:pm, and it will stay that way until the next day and then it will show where the vehicle really is but no data for the time after it froze. I stopped at Walmart at 8:23pm app showed I had a very good gps signal. I made three more stops before I got home. At 12:12 am it was showing that I was still at Walmart. ### 3/5 — Dropped GPS get stuck *2020-02-17, version 53* I love the trips feature and the location feature, but I have found that certain places my daughter drives the GPS somehow breaks the car’s connection for the rest of the day. It won’t reset until I reset it. That’s not acceptable for my specific safety needs. Is there a way to fix that drop more quickly? Until it is reset the “trip” shows the same exact start and stop location every single time the device is activated. I can see the car was driven 10.4 miles, but there is no authentic start and stop, only that one location over and over. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2019-12-28, version 50* Some nice love from the developers would be wonderful on the app. This app is trash and doesn’t update with needed information as it should. God forbid something happens I wouldn’t be able to track my child. Guess long as they’re pockets are lined they could careless of how efficient the app is!! ### 5/5 — Spectacular tracker for elderly parents *2019-12-24, version 50* I live in California, and my elderly parents are in Virginia. They forget to take care of their car as they should, and with Vyncs I can remotely monitor the car’s servicing needs for them. I can also locate the car - a huge source of peace of mind for the times when one of them is away from the house for longer than expected. I can also see from the driving score whether they’re driving erratically or not. I know Vyncs wasn’t built with elderly monitoring in mind, but I definitely sleep easier now that Vyncs is in my parents’ car! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not working, bad customer service *2024-03-14* Loved device at first and worked fantastic. Started having problems sporadically for last year. Then ‘Trips’ not reporting correctly for last few months (in Boston area.) Customer Service is terrible, hard to reach and never solved issues. Then CS just stopped responding. Refused to replace device unless we returned current one first. Accused users of possible fraud when Vyncs could clearly see online that device was not working properly. They should have replaced device or refunded money. We replaced with new Bouncie device and that is working perfectly. So it is not our car, battery or port’s problem. Vyncs is having major issues, don’t get stuck with a year contract! We will give a look at this and make sure that your issues are fixed. ### 1/5 — Refunds for 3g devices *2022-10-12, version 72* Have tried several emails with “Lisa M” with no clear resolution. We were promised a refund of the 3g device charge that was paid. They continue to say “they are looking into the account” but it seems nobody that works there is able to process the refund that is due. Purchasing the 4g device was a mistake. AVOID at all costs. ### 1/5 — Garbage *2022-09-06, version 72* Worst fleet tracking company around. Terrible signals with sunny days and no clouds in one of the largest cities on the east coast. Subscribed for a year, their equipment became obsolete for the network they’re on. Their answer is for customer to resubscribe for another year and buy new equipment even though months remain on the first subscription with zero credit given. They got me once, wont happen again. Save your money, find something better. This company is trash. ### 1/5 — App is horrible! *2021-12-20, version 72* This app is really bad! I’ve used Vyncs for about two years and I can’t recall one time I’ve successfully located any of my three vehicles from this app. When I log onto a Vyncs from a laptop it works seamlessly, but forget about finding your vehicle from a phone app, a complete waste of time. ### 1/5 — Poor user interface and app experience *2021-11-11, version 72* This app needs a complete overhaul. Fonts are too tiny to read, main menu is a system popup that is not contiguous with app interface. Navigation icons at bottom of screen only appear in certain functional areas of the app, and they are generally inconsistent. Reporting options are very limited, practically inexistent. ### 1/5 — I can’t get the product work. *2021-09-01, version 72* I can’t open up my account to use it. I have contacted ‘VYNCS SUPPORT TEAM’ a few times and they don’t seem to be able to be able to open it up so that I can use it. I have call them on the phone but the number don’t work. This may be the best product in the world, but, if I can’t use it, it’s worthless to me. I’m trying to get my money back…Norman ### 1/5 — Notifications does not work. *2021-07-21, version 71* I bought it cause I wanted to know every time my daughter leaves, it did it once and stop working. I’m not happy this is the main reason why I bought it. ### 1/5 — Terrible app for tracking teens *2021-07-09, version 71* This app is set up for you to set a governor speed notification on your app. The only way to see speeds at different gps locations is to physically go into the map and check it. What parent has time for that! I just want a notification to say “your son was speeding by going ___ in a ___ mph zone”. It doesn’t do that. I just get notifications saying he was going 25 mph. Okay so was he speeding??? I have to go into the app and see exactly which street he was on and figure out what the speed limit is on that street because their system lists 0 mph on a lot of streets. I have talked to customer support numerous times and they keep telling me to set the speed limit. I don’t want to set a governor speed limit. I have set 15 mph so it will notify me every time he’s going over 15. What a joke! I want to know when he is going 15 mph OVER the speed limit for the street he is on!! I just want to know when he’s speeding. I don’t think that too much to ask of a vehicle monitoring app…. ### 1/5 — Latest version crashes constantly *2020-10-07, version 63* Version 61 of the app was solid and usable. Version 62 and 63 crash constantly and are basically very unprofessional in their behavior. I would not recommend this product if this is the quality this company thinks is acceptable to release. ### 1/5 — Useless *2020-01-18, version 51* Just flat out doesn’t work. I manage a fleet of 12 vehicles and am very familiar with tracking. I tried this app on one vehicle and it’s garbage. App won’t open on iPhone 8, can’t add a vehicle in browser. Also has login issues. Absolutely worthless. I use it to personally track my truck in case if theft. Likewise, easy to install, snaps in.....just finding the port on my taco was the only challenge. IOs app is a breeze - even with remembering my password. 1st software install takes a little time, but easy for the laymen.
