Once I downloaded it it started crashing a lot and it didn’t work for a few months, but when it started to work it asked for age and then said ‘Find My School’, but it only gave me options of I estimate 15 random schools that are probably not even in my area. I allowed the app to see my location and still it gives me 15 schools as if it expects me to be in one of them! Please someone tell me if this is a mistake I’m making or if it’s an error in the app because I’m so confused right now! ### 2/5 — Strange app *2023-08-27* At first, this app became a huge craze at my school as I started seeing people posting it on their stories and decided to give it a try. As you can guess this app becomes extremely addicting and me and my friends even had a group chat dedicated to all the pop-ups we got on the app. However, we started to realise that we had given the app our full names, profile pictures of our faces, our phone numbers and most importantly, our school. Which sounds idiotic, but when everyone you know is banging on about a new app it’s likely you’ll get persuaded. You have probably gotten a notification saying you got a compliment and you need to download the app to see how sent it! I did to. I was a little worded how it had my phone number without me downloading it. I decided to get it as a lot of people did. It asks for your school. No, not to track you down. To get you with all the other people from your school, so you aren’t voting for random people. Now yes, there are A LOT of negative reviews, I read most of them and it seemed to me as none of them were relevant to me at all that much, maybe one or two things but overall this app isn’t as bad as others have seen. Also, none of the questions are hurtful, there is maybe a few weird ones but they are all compliments and no one gets to know who sent it! So if you have a crush and they have this app, confess away! They won’t even know who you are. stay safe x ### 3/5 — unnecessary *2023-08-06* i’m going to be completely honest, this app is the gas app copy pasted. it’s kind of useless and gives fake info in exchange for sharing the app. it also allows middle schoolers to add themselves to the high school groups which in my opinion is unsafe and a little odd. however, i’m really addicted to it right now for the sole purpose of me and my friend giggling at what we vote for each other. it has like two pros but other than that i suggest not wasting your time. ### 3/5 — Interesting Premise, but the app itself needs work *2023-08-05* The app is really finicky. You always have to reboot it to see new updates. After you request to add someone, you can’t tell if the app recognizes the request or not as they stay on your add friends list. For any further concerns, please email us at hi@slay.cool. ### 1/5 — scam *2023-08-04* this app texted me that “5 boys have completed !! click this link to see what they said!!” and i was suspicious of it, but i clicked anyways and downloaded the app. after setting up an account, which took forever to load and was glitchy, i find that no boys have complimented me. deleted my account immediately, the app is a joke. it steals contacts and texts those people to try to bribe people into downloading the app. solid 0/10. ### 2/5 — STOP THE TEXTING *2023-08-04* Texting people that they are being complimented is so stupid and annoying. My old Apple ID is gone but I still have the same number. I have tried to delete and re download and all that and it still won’t work i’ve waited and it just keeps saying that and won’t let me pass to create my account to use the app. Please fix this or tell me how to fix this. ### 1/5 — It’s just a copy of Gas *2023-08-05* This type of app just exists to try to make you have hope of being a secret popular kid. It is a exact copy of gas and both apps just prey on people who want more compliments and while it does give you those nothing will come of a random person saying you have a good playlist. Talk to people in school and be more friendly if you want compliments don’t download random apps that prey on instability of emotions. ### 1/5 — Creepy and weird *2023-08-05* I got a random link sent to me with the name of my school AND my name. Obviously, i didn’t click the link, but in that same moment my friend sent me a link too. Me and her discovered together that this app is a fake. While they use names from people at your school, the polls are fake. When you click “allow contacts” and give your phone number, this allows them to send links to EVERYONE in your contacts. They do this to get people to download the app and get exposure. I’ve deleted the app and logged out, but there’s no way for you to delete your actual account. do not trust this app. ### 1/5 — Scam game that’s pretty much a predator play ground *2023-08-05* So if you’ve planned on using the app, I suggest you please don’t. The app is pretty much a predator playground that knows pretty much all of your friends and where you live. It sends texts to people to download the app similar to old computer emails, but instead it’s pretty much a malware that wants to target people with low self confidence. The app asks you to do anonymous polls for people you know and people choose you that are shown on your feed. This is simple, but it gets a bit weird sometimes. I personally had people choosing me that while I didn’t know who exactly sent it, I knew they weren’t in my school and were 3 grades above me sometimes. The same applies to when you choose someone in the polls. I kept getting people I didn’t really know a lot so I ended up skipping it a lot. It also lies when you choose a person and says that was the most picked person, which could make sense if it didn’t say the same thing every choice you make. Overall, I’d like to say not to use the app and that your fine without it. ### 1/5 — Creepy app. *2023-08-05* Texted me that I “got a compliment” from someone in a high school near me. Surprise surprise, she doesn’t actually exist. Clicked on it on a security browser just to see what “said compliment was” with expectation that it was clickbait. Was just that. Don’t download, it feeds off false hope of youth who are insecure enough already. Leave high schoolers and middle schoolers alone. Would rate lower if possible. ### 1/5 — Hella weird *2023-08-05* The “people has sent you a compliment!” message sent is just bait too for ppl with low confidence. Whats also weird and scared me for a bit was that they had a school I would’ve gone to and my name. However thinking about it though it was all explainable. ### 1/5 — Fake results, Fake information *2023-08-04* I have plenty of bot contacts on my phone and they all show up in this app, for example 1 named Joe Biden shows up many times in the polls and says people have voted him, and on the invite people thing it shows him there, I have no idea how you got my phone number but this app is like a parasite, It feeds you false information and makes you share it to others in your contacts to spread the app more ### 1/5 — App deserves a negative rating *2023-08-04* Got a scammy text saying a friend from With their actually name complimented me. Upon checking the app is top 15 on the App Store, I downloaded the app to see to my unpleasant surprise that it stole all my contacts. This app will take info from You and text your friends that you sent a invitation /compliment and to join, all without ur consent and sketchy app practices. This app is for high schoolers- I’m in college. It was showing I was getting compliments from freshmen and sophomores in highschool. I’m at least five years older than them, and am not sure how this app got my information. It’s freaky, and I don’t think there’s a way to remove my information from their app. ### 1/5 — Scam *2023-08-04* App tries to get your information off you don’t download. It is a great app and these boomers just don’t know what they are talking about. The reason it ask for your school is because it is MADE FOR HIGHSCHOOLERS not 36 year old women thinking it’s WhatsApp or something. They ask your year in school your school and your gender this is because when you give a compliment to someone (select them for a pole) it is anonymous. There are various questions with a option of 4 people. Easy option to share what people said about you to your snapchat story. And completely secret ! You can only find out the first letter of there name or if you really want to find out you can get gold which cost £4. I forgot about and it and deleted it from my phone by accident. Recently I remembered this app and wanted to download again, but when signing up the same notification would pop up saying “unfortunately a error occurred” This happened every time I opened the app trying to sign in. I deleted it and reinstalled, restarted my phone, tried using a different number but it would still do it.
