However the motion detection triggers too late and stops too soon. Well, I wish I had had the opportunity to see the only other review on the Apple Store pertaining to the camera/software. I agree with the other reviewer, connectivity is slow, camera shuts down after a few seconds, takes too long to connect after switching on, and too many times having to reconnect. I don’t think it’s the camera that’s the issue, it’s the poor quality and performance of the software. But actually mine has worked very well. I tried to wire it up to a power source in the car, but that turned out to be too much trouble. Since I’m in a suv I have a auxiliary plug in the back that’s always hot. I just used an old aux adapter I had from another device, opened it up, soldered the wires to the right terminals, then put it back together. Then just plugged it in. Had downloaded the app for it to communicate with my iPhone, make sure to put in the correct code. I would have given 5 stars if cam was better in low light for night backing up. Yes the code is there in the tiny information sheet. It’s 12345678 in case you miss it. Works well with my iPhone 8 Plus and needed no configuration at all. Power it up and it generates WiFi (not Bluetooth) which you can log into easily. Works a few feet away from the car too. The instructions make little sense but honestly you don’t need them if you use common sense. I have bought second one to keep an eye on my dog in the back whilst on long drives. The picture is crystal clear. Recording is easy too, so is playback from a thumbnail list.
