Helpful hints: 1. Can download only from watch; can’t download from iPhone, not even in the phone watch app. 2. Connectivity issues solved by deleting not only the app from watch but also deleting Apple Watch as a key using the Rivian app on phone. Wouldn’t connect no matter how many times I deleted the app from watch and logging back in. It worked great. But one day it wasn’t connecting so I read that I should delete the app and then re-download it. The problem is, when you go into the App Store, it says “purchased” and won’t allow you to re-download it. The developer website is barebones and doesn’t have a contact us section short of a broken “Get In Touch” button on a Hardware Notifier page and a privacy policy email link which seems limited to privacy policy issues “If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at:” and goes to a different domain. The reason I want support is that I have a question about assigning the app to launch with the Action Button on an Ultra via a Shortcut since Shortcuts need to be created on an iPhone and as a watch-only app there doesn’t appear to be a way to add it to a phone shortcut which can also be made available on the watch. ### 1/5 — What Happened? *2025-03-08, version 1.0.5* I have been using this app for close to a year and it quit working. I was genuinely excited. However now the key won’t sync. It also forces my Rivian to repeatedly keep requesting the key sync after I have removed the key from my Rivian apps and accounts. I’ve even removed the waakey app. This is really concerning because it’s not supported by Rivian so they told me a fix for this would be very expensive since it’s third part software. If you have a support team that can help me cleanly remove this key request and app from my truck I would be grateful. But for now I’m weary of this application or using anything third party. I’ve also experienced more bugs than usual in my Rivian after the install of this. Hard to tell if they are related to the waakey app or new updates from Rivian. Pretty sad about the Apple Watch sync outcome. If you have a support team. Please help so I can restore things and hopefully get rid of this bug that has been added to my truck from using the app. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2024-11-22, version 1.0.5* Just says “No vehicles linked to account. I try for 30 min then give up for another month. Log in and it says No Vehicle Linked to this Account. They are trying to get your Rivian credential. This same login and password works for my Rivian app and their website, which required a two-factor authentication code via email, but WaaKey just fails to login and doesn’t give an opportunity for a 2FA code. Battery widget doesn’t update very frequently but maybe it would if I used this as my main key? I don’t. I just wanted a backup of I went running without my other device’s and this seems to fit that bill. PSA for those saying they can’t redownload… go to the App Store on your watch to get it. That’s not a dev issue, it’s Apple wanting you to use the watchOS App Store for apps like this that don’t have an iOS counterpart.
