No more click, click and in. Takes too long to check - in! Even then you can’t be sure you are marked in. Should have left well enough alone and save money that surely comes out of dues. Cannot check in to classes without waiting for front desk to do it for you. Barcode won’t load. Unable to check into the class if it’s in the 10 min window, before the 10 min window I still couldn’t check into the class. Says “fetching location” and then nothing happens. I also loved the favorites page in the old app. ### 1/5 — Glitches *2025-10-12* I cannot check in to class. I am unable to cancel class. I’ve sought guidance from front desk and they were perplexed. New apps are often glitchy, but this changeover has been problematic and frustrating. I recommend not sending out emails if people aren’t checked in/cancelled. This app used to be user friendly now there are too many steps involved. If I’m too tired to come to class it was 2 clicks and I could unregister and go back to bed, now you have to wake up just to unregister because you have to look for the right family member. Whose stupid idea was this to change this app??? The font is too small for us old people as well. Even when you sort the classes, the font is too small!! No one signs up for classes unless they are super popular because if they don’t show up we get penalized. We should not be penalized for the price we pay for this expensive membership!!! Needless to say I’m not happy with the app and it needs to be fixed by less clicks and bigger font. The class times are tiny and hard to read. The way the classes are just in list form with no way to filter them is frustrating. I am really surprised they didn’t just add the premium classes to the other app if this is how it was going to end up. It’s just a major downgrade from the previous app. Hoping many more changes are coming because this is not great. ### 1/5 — Terrible System - NOT USER FRIENDLY *2025-10-09* I go to water classes 6 times a week at 3 different locations. The new app does not allow me to identify my classes I usually attend & sign up easily. Thank goodness only one of my classes (on Saturday) fills up& I will need to register ahead for. Now I will no longer sign up for most of my classes. The WAC is now using a subscription model app for “Gyms” which is very problematic, and many times does not function (errors out, “Department not loaded”, etc). Trying to “check in” or “Mark Attendance” as it is now called works about 50% of the time. I am guessing that is why every club now has a self-checkin kiosk. They didn’t need that with the old app. ### 1/5 — New system *2025-12-07, version 4.0.4* This new system is cumbersome! ### 1/5 — Worse than the old app, major downgrade *2025-12-03* 1. Interface is clunky and difficult to navigate. 2. There doesn’t seem to be any way to view when or how many times I’ve visited, which is crucial information for me since my employer is paying for my membership and I get charged directly out of my paycheck if I don’t go at least 8 times every month. 3. App Store page claims this is compatible with Apple Wallet, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to actually add my barcode to the wallet. Update: App has not materially improved since I left this review, but now I’m forced to use it because they got rid of the old one. Barcode takes forever to load every time I try to check in. Why does it have to load at all? It is static and doesn’t change. Also, I can no longer sign in for classes and do not know why. This is VERY basic functionality that should have been thoroughly tested, but does not appear to have been. Communication and support for the roll out of the app has been terrible. Perhaps they will be adding functionality as time moves forward, but how would we know? NO communication!
