Many of them feel like scams. It feels like people trying to take advantage of those looking to make money. **Developer response:** We are working hard to eliminate junk from the app and get more real jobs on there. Feel free to reach out to us directly! ### 3/5 — First time use *2021-03-17, version 2.4* It seems like a good app but it doesn't give you a tour or a tutorial on how to use the app. I tap through the gigs and most are from 2020 or just not in "newest" order like I filtered. I'm LA area so I'd assume there would be more opportunity. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t Function *2020-03-26, version 1.1.8* I can’t even make an account to get into the app. No matter how I try, it tells me ‘an error has occurred’ and kicks me out ### 1/5 — Trash *2020-02-06, version 1.1.8* I can’t even tell how to use the app. What am I posting? I thought it was for people who are looking for a side job not a bunch of people posting selfies. This app is trash. Poorly put together. If I could give 0 stars I would. Also had a hell of a time signing up. No jobs posted and the app developer sounds like an automated response that don’t care about people’s complaints. ### 1/5 — Overall App *2019-10-03, version 1.1.8* I’ve been “attempting” to use this app for about a week.. if you’re someone who is TRYING TO MAKE MONEY, I do not recommend this app whatsoever. You will most likely receive offers that are illegal or someone attempting to scam you. ✫✫I urge anyone who is currently using or thinking about trying this app to NEVER accept an offer from a user who ✩asks to speak to you from another site or personal phone number ✩advertises a large payout for simple tasks such as “house cleaning” “pet sitting” or any “odd jobs” You are most likely being scammed. My personal experience from this app was extremely stressful. I was offering an “odd job” service (which included cleaning, yard work, errand running, etc.) with this app, and the only reply I received was from a user named “Adecco”. He offered me an opportunity to earn $600 DOLLARS to pick up a package/piece of mail and deliver it to an isolated location. My gut told me that this was a terrible/illegal offer. So I attempted to block/report the user. I couldn’t.. somehow I couldn’t access his profile page. So my next thought was to call customer service, hoping to give a Wage representative the users name, and look into the situation. I accessed the Wage customer service phone number online, and called. I was put on hold for several minutes, then asked to leave a voicemail. I did.. and a day goes by.. without receiving and email or callback. So I call again.. put on hold.. again.. and immediately sent to voicemail. Guys, I had to call 27 times for a customer service rep. to respond. And when he did, his behavior was unprofessional. I explained my concern with the “Adecco” user, and he thanked me, told me he would take care of it, and just said “bye” and hung up. Hours later I receive another message off of Wage from the suspicious user offering me ANOTHER sketchy deal.. Long story short, be very cautious of the tasks you agree to, and good luck to you if you try to handle any malfunction/situation via Wage customer service. In my opinion, this whole app is 100% unreliable. ### 1/5 — Like a bad dating site with recovering addicts *2019-08-08, version 1.1.8* This app is terrible. My first log in I felt extremely uncomfortable and half expected the people to offer happy endings at the end of the task of hired. Clean this up. ### 3/5 — User Heads Up *2019-07-26, version 1.1.8* This app is good if you want to find someone to do labor for you, but if you’re looking for work yourself, I’d try somewhere else. The app is literally just people OFFERING labor, not asking for it. I’ve had it for almost a month, and have seen only one legit job offer. Everything else is just people wanting to get hired to babysit, clean houses, etc for 80+ dollars. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Version 2.0 will be released soon. We will be releasing our update soon... ### 1/5 — Idiotic *2019-06-10, version 1.1.8* I can’t tell if this is the app developers fault or the users are completely idiotic but all the “jobs” posted on the app are just broke people uploading gross photos of themselves OFFERING services. You’re supposed to be able to open the app and see tasks but instead all the “tasks” are just unskilled laborers begging for money/work to DO. Does that even make sense? There’s no JOBS posted. People are misusing the app and posting about how they WANT jobs instead. If the app was regulated to block these posts it wouldn’t be that bad. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Hopefully I get a small job or a housemaid keeper /work. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App does not work *2023-08-18* After downloading the app, I clicked on “sign in with Google” and it does not load or take you to the next screen to start the process. It does the same thing if u choose to sign in as a guest (as well as signing in with apple or FB). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, as well as trying it on both my phone and iPad and it does the same thing. Not sure if it was from someone from wage or another person using it as a platform to scam but a number from Maryland messaged asking for potential service opportunity. Then they told me to get a green dot - a prepaid card - so they can fund it. At that point I just stopped. **Developer response:** We're sorry that you had a negative experience! We are working to reduce and remove scammers both in automated and manual ways, but sometimes they slip through the cracks. Users can block other users and can use the "report" button to help us in this endeavor. Our goal is to connect peers who need and want to do honest work. ### 1/5 — No new jobs *2020-09-27, version 2.2* I downloaded this app looking for side jobs, there have consecutively been 3 jobs posted. No new jobs are being offered just people looking for jobs posting, no one offering. Seems like a waste of time.
