### 4/5 — Wish it could save your game

*2019-06-25, version 1.2*

Can’t multitask very much or you lose your game.

### 4/5 — Love/hate relationship

*2017-10-18, version 1.0.3*

Loving the gameplay. Hating the overheating of my iPad and iPhone, and how quickly this game drains my battery. The latest update doesn’t solve these two problems.

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2017-10-12*

Half way through the game, you'll be at the mercy of the power ups on the bottom trying to join letters together. It would be nice to be able to re-shuffle the words into a workable bunch again, otherwise it gets boring incredibly fast having to restart everything.

### 4/5 — Love how original this game and the graphics are fantastic!

*2017-10-04, version 1.0.2*

The whole family is playing!

### 5/5 — fantastic!

*2017-09-29, version 1.0*

this game is addictive! I love the sounds and the visuals!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2017-09-28, version 1.0*

Looks absolutely gorgeous, really beautiful game!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Looks great, needs a dictionary

*2019-10-02*

Really good game with great visuals, but needs to consult a dictionary as many words, like „Greece“ or „Korean“ are not recognised.

### 1/5 — Battery destroying phone melting mess . . .

*2018-10-08, version 1.2*

Earlier today, after downloading it and playing while still plugged in, I was about to give this game a 5 star rating, as I was really enjoying the vibe of the hive and the relaxed-yet-challenging gameplay. I read the reviews before shucking out my 5 dollars, and quickly — stupidly — wrote off the negative ones as being typical haters and drama queens.

I played this for about 15 minutes tonight unplugged, and was staggered to see my battery drop from 80% to 20% in 15 minutes flat, with my 6s Plus heating up to the point where it felt like I was holding a hot cup of coffee.

This is RIDICULOUS. Users have been complaining about this issue forever, but apparently the developers don’t care enough to release an update for a fix, while having the audacity to charge 5 bucks for this battery buster of an app.
.
Yet I can still play a graphics-n-sound blasting games like Asphalt 9 with almost no hit to my battery? Doesn’t make sense. I am absolutely perplexed as to how this game is rated as high as it is. Refunds should be given to all users.

### 1/5 — Meh...

*2018-04-21, version 1.0.9*

Graphics are good and it’s fun for a bit but there really isn’t much content to this game. DEFINITELY not worth $5.. maybe $1 or 50 cents. Not nearly enough content for the 5$. The game should just end when your out of words but it doesn’t. Having to quit the game after finishing doesn’t feel like much of an accomplishment.

### 2/5 — Battery killer

*2018-06-16, version 1.1*

This is a beautiful looking game, and is fun to play, but it eats battery life like crazy. A game this simple shouldn’t be using 30% of the battery of an iPad Pro in less than an hour.

### 2/5 — Not great

*2017-10-30, version 1.0.4*

It’s not that fun and the tutorial is poor. I love word games such as scrabble, words with friends, tumble words when that was still a thing etc. This doesn’t live up to them. The style for a word game is weird and the music somewhat unpleasant. I felt more like I was trying to piece together words with the “Mother!” soundtrack for ambience. I feel like this might be a much better game when it is explained why some things happen. Tutorial mode seems to do nothing, and it also made my 7+ run very hot. I’d rather have my money back

### 2/5 — Nothing special

*2017-10-05, version 1.0.2*

I have an IPad Pro running 11 but when I click AR mode it says I need IOS 11. This is a very run of the mill word game, not addictive or really engaging at all. What a waste of $5. I went to developer web site to try to figure out if I was missing something but no help there. Not that the game is hard to figure out, just uninteresting.

### 2/5 — Not worth $5

*2017-09-30, version 1.0.1*

Not worth $5. The AR mode is jumpy and, truthfully, it’s easier to play a regular word search game and not have to hold your phone still in an awkward up position. Have a feeling the 5 star reviews are their friends & family. More worth $2-3 for decent graphics.

### 3/5 — Daily game is always the same

*2023-10-19, version 1.41*

Please fix

### 3/5 — Battery Destroyer

*2020-06-24, version 1.3.3*

Fun game but I could only play while on the charger. Unreal how much this drained the battery. Had to uninstall.

### 3/5 — Great game needs few added features desperately

*2017-10-16, version 1.0.2*

I’m more of a chess/logic puzzle gamer but this game definitely has me.
Gorgeous and organic UI. Great game play. Very easy to pick up and incredibly difficult to put down.

Definitely give this game a try.

Why 3 stars?
- needs undo feature
- needs pause feature
- no landscape mode on iPhone/iPad
- needs save option (once game is closed you lose your progress and have to start a new game)
- no option to put a name on local high scores
(Just in case I let me wife play, she’d like to
have her name added to score board)

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Beautiful, fun, smart

*2018-12-25, version 1.2*

I don’t usually play games. This one caught my eye and it was a pleasant surprise. My son loves it too.

### 5/5 — Really like this!

*2018-04-05, version 1.0.9*

Great design and graphics like an active bee hive with the waggle effect. The ability to move backwards and forwards 2 turns, change and move letters to empty spaces is good especially late in the game. But you have to choose the opportunities wisely, well done!

### 5/5 — Saved !

*2017-11-08, version 1.0.5*

Having recently lost my favourite word game to the great 32 bit cull of 2017, and having tired of most of the popular ones, I have been stuck in word game limbo, hoping for something a bit different to appear, when, with perfect timing, comes Waggle Words - great visuals, likewise sound design, and 3 varied ways to play, from thoughtful to frenetic.
Am still stuck in rainy Manchester - but no longer in limbo !
Cheers guys, great effort.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2017-10-03, version 1.0.2*

Buy it if you’re into tough but rewarding games.

### 5/5 — Perfect sick in bed obsession

*2017-09-30, version 1.0.1*

Love the graphics... have kept my sick in bed wife content for 4 hours. Better than cough syrup.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2017-09-30, version 1.0.1*

This game looks great and is super smooth! It does a great job integrating AR in the game and places AR objects in the world faster than other games I’ve played lately.

### 5/5 — It took me a few rounds to figure out how good this is!

*2017-09-30, version 1.0.1*

Once you figure out the power to manipulate the letters and compounding effect of “waggling” you will be hooked. I really dig this game. Reminds me of boggle...but way more brain-stimulating. Don’t waste a move!

Great job. Well worth the price of admission.

### 5/5 — Beautiful and fun

*2017-09-30, version 1.0.1*

I love word games, and this one is a really super twist on the theme. The art style is gorgeous, and I can’t wait to try it in an AR-compatible phone!

### 5/5 — Charming and stylish

*2017-09-29, version 1.0*

I love word games, and the slick style and fun AR features take simple, absorbing word hunting to the next level. Great work!

### 5/5 — Bee - lieve it!

*2017-09-29, version 1.0*

Really fun touch interface with great interactive audio! Ar mode is sweet!
