I love it. I also posted it on my 'iPad and Autism' specific website. Yesterday, I got to use the Wait4it App with a client - a little 4 year old boy diagnosed with autism named Robin. Robin is one of those kids that is very 'on the go' and very curious about EVERYTHING. He constantly asks questions and wants to know how things work. Currently, he likes to know what your title is (e.g., Mr, Mrs, Miss etc), he has special interests in information about countries, numbers, time, dates, information about musicians and a lot more. The only problem is his questions are intense and constant and he often gets upset or very anxious when he doesn't get a response to his questions straight away. So yes, Robin is learning the concept of waiting for our attention to talk about his special interest! We introduced the Wait4it App yesterday, Robin helped take the picture of the item that he was waiting for (a picture of a clock that he wanted to talk about), I gave give him the choice of 4 or 5 minutes to Wait - he chose 5 minutes, I then asked if he wanted to sit and wait on the mini trampoline or the bean bag - he chose the bean bag, and I spent about 30 seconds with him showing him how the numbers were counting down! He loved watching the numbers scroll down! I went off and spoke to Robin's mum, uninterrupted for the next 4.5 minutes! It worked!
