They needed to fix this app before having it out on the App Store. If I could rate it ZERO STARS I would. Nothing great about an app that barely works. ### 1/5 — This app needs to be revamped *2020-02-22, version 5.4.01* Was this app made by the class supervisors?? Like cmon, the Wake Tech logo isn’t even centered and it kinda bothers me. Actually, it really bothers me. Blackboard doesn’t know how we respond when you click it, class schedules lag even on iPhone 11s, and the maps are very inaccurate. I accidentally walked to Hibachi bowl tryna get to my 8am sociology class thanks to this dumb crap app. Step it up, “professors”. Download the actual blackboard app. ### 1/5 — Crashes. Bugs. *2020-02-13, version 5.4.01* I try using this app on occasion for over a year and it constantly crashes. Constantly. No reply from developers so they clearly don’t update or monitor this app. It is not functional. The email refreshes in a loop so you can’t use it at all. Just use the mobile version instead if this awful app. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2020-01-23, version 5.4.01* I try to use it frequently, doesn’t work at all a majority of the time. Email refreshes constantly, so I can never access any of my emails before it gives me an error. Blackboard sends me straight back to the main menu after 20 seconds (if I’m lucky). The crashes and bugs are constant, this app is a headache and has been for the last year. At this point, I’d pay for this app to work, that’s how desperate I am to use it properly. ### 1/5 — Awful! *2020-01-06, version 5.4.01* Crashes non stop. Blackboard is terrible now. It forecloses whenever I try to access links or specific pages. Most course notifications cannot be viewed or interacted with anymore. Plus a bit useless. *2023-01-05, version 5.5.03* Alright so you might think “well obviously the college app is going to have a bad rating, students don’t like school!” Usually you’d be right, but this app crashes constantly and all it does when it does work is act as a hub for you to access their websites. Thing is, they aren’t adapted for mobile access so they are super clunky and you can’t get anything helpful done besides observe various items (if the app doesn’t crash by then). The app’s only existence is to act as google with one less step, but even then it can’t handle that and folds in on itself. ### 1/5 — Bugs bugs bugs *2022-08-12, version 5.5.03* It literally won’t even let me login. There is always an issue with staying logged in as well. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2022-07-05, version 5.5.03* Needless to say, this app is the worst. There’s always a bug every other day. When I need to login by the app it never works. And when I don’t need to login it works. I’m always constantly having to call IT who is oblivious to any of the problems going on with the app. They give me the run around and say they will submit a ticket but nothing ever happens. It’s 2022 and by the reviews the app is STILL not fixed. This is unbelievable that wake tech having millions of dollars from tuition will still be so stingy and not invest in a good app for their students. I cannot wait until I graduate so that I don’t have to keep having this ongoing problem. ### 1/5 — Horrible!!! *2022-05-17, version 5.5.03* This is the worst blackboard app I have ever used. I can’t view or open any documents in my course. ### 1/5 — Constantly crashing *2020-04-03, version 5.4.01* I have had several different iPhones so I j ow my phone is not the issue. I now see the reviews after 2 years later of trying to figure out why this app ALWAYS crashes. Having mobile access alleviates a lot of stress for users who are on the go and want to be able to access things when not on the computer. I don’t even think this app is being developed anymore because when I click on the app support page I get an error message as well. I hope this changes soon. ### 1/5 — Come on now *2020-03-30, version 5.4.01* I was going to get on here to state my issues with this app, but I can see that everyone else has the same problems and it still hasn’t been fixed. Lousy job. It shouldn’t take years to never fix a bug, just do your job so I can do mine as a student. Very annoying trying to access email or blackboard when it keeps crashing. Not everyone has a laptop or access to a computer but almost everyone has a mobile device.
